Does any one know how long you are given to get your deeds and pay all the taxes etc after permission to purchase is granted or is it up to the builder?

Hi Deniz1,

Once you have applied and receiced your ptp which will take up to three years to get. You could then notify your builder developer if you are not using a lawyer to do it for you. It is then up to him to put the wheels in motion to do the deed transfer. We received our ptp in October2008 but we are no nearer getting our deeds because we are on a complex and the complex needs to be parcellised first. There is a backlog for this work to be carried out and of course has to be paid for by the developer or builder. As most builders are having financial difficulties there isn't much chance of it being done any time soon.
