We are flying with Pegasus, and would like to take some golf clubs with us, and wondered the procedure? I have contacted the company we booked it with, and they were very little help, we have emailed Pegasus directly and they havent replied!!!!! Could some please advise us, do we just turn up at Stansted with £40 and hand them over when our cases are weighed, or do we need to book them in anywhere before hand?

At Stansted there is a place for checking in special items of luggage which this is, go to check in as usual and they will direct you.

Flew Pegasus from Stansted last May. Unable to book g/clubs online as with many other airlines.

When you book your luggage in you're sent to the excess baggage area to put your g/clubs through.

Can't remember the actual cost. Would I suppose depend on weight as with all excess bagggage and whether it is return or one way

Book golf clubs in at the Pegasus desk. They may weigh them and will label them with your flight details and issue a baggage claim receipt. They give you a ticket to take to the counter nearby (line of desks in front of the windows). Pay your money and then take the clubs and the receipt for payment to the out of gauge baggage check in which is near to the entry to depatures. Miraculously they do turn up the other end.

Have also found empty golf bags great for transporting bits and bobs as cheaper than paying for excess baggage in your suitcase. Just need to turn the bag upside down and shake them all out when you get there!
