Neil,

I can introduce you to a builder (who also has rental properties) they are based in Lapta and seem quite reliable. If you email off board I would be happy to try to help. They will respond to you within 36/48 hours (better than me).

My friend has a 4 bedroom villa between Alsancak and Karaoglanoglu furnished with pool and 1 donum of gardens in quiet area. Rent £450pm may inc pool costs but would have to confirm with owner. Leave your email if you need any further details.

tinker, I think you'll find they have gone to ground. Simbas saw right through them as did a few others on here.

These threads by 'Neil & Kim' & 'Uncle-Ted' have been fascinating! Personally I don't think there's 2 of them, just the one guy using his alter ego (Kim or Ted's Wife) when someone asks too many questions or gets 'nasty' as he puts it. Wonder what the whole thing's about, what Neil or whoever was really after? Has anyone actually made contact via the email address he gave and actually heard back from this guy?

The only thing he really seems to be interested in is footie and MU.

swannee7 - indeed, it's fascinating. I'll try to put it in a nutshell (please bear in mind this is only my own point of view). Last year, Neil and Kim started posting on here regarding advice about moving to NC. As you will by now have realised, Neil said he was an ex-serviceman looking to start a new life in Cyprus with his family. The posts/messages went back and forth with a lot of people offering advice with regard to many aspects of a move to Cyprus with a family. People went out of their way, over a considerable period of time, to offer help and advice. If memory serves (it was quite a while ago) most advice was ignored and their replies became more and more bizarre. There was, initially, the matter of them not being able to fly (fair enough, not everyone likes to fly). Then, there were discussions on the board regarding schools, where was the best place to live (sound familiar?), Mrs. Duffy's unfortunate health problems at a very young age. There followed messages, cont

messages about them sending their kids to private schools, buying (bought) a 5? bedroomed villa with a built in bar/pool area, importing high-end performance cars from Dubai, etc. etc. There was also a completely 'ranting' series of messages about them "selling their house" from Mrs D (I believe) stating that she was not not prepared to sell it to 'Brits'. I believe quite a lot of these were deleted. Sorry, almost forgot about them returning as a (wait for it) "Retired Oxford Lecturer - widowed" - won't go into that now!

However, what I will say is this - I saw "Uncle Ted" posting on here and it rang a very loud bell. People bent over backwards last time and I did not want to see it happen again. Like Hattikins, if I am wrong, I will, unreservedly, apologise.

Not on your own newlad, a lot of people fell for it again, when I first started reading the first couple of posts I thought it all sounded familiar, what does this person get from all this is it the fact that he gets people bickering what do you think?
