Hi...not sure about this..but just met a party of 30 swedes on a golfing trip to NC...they were very pleased..all stayed at the golf club accommodation..all paid 56 euros per round....spoke with the trip organiser...trips are organised from Oct to March only....seems the place is popular

in the real world, your average group of golfers from say the UK isn't going to come to the TRNC on a golfing holiday....

Because, they can go to Spain/Portugal for a fraction of the air fair/travelling time and when there, visit several diferent courses.....

Groucho;

Where I used to stay in the Algarve and the states I had many courses within a few miles of where I was staying.

If a group is staying at Korineum how far away is Pathos?

golfing in the algarve, and spain for that matter, is a great deal more expensive than at the korenium. Courses cost between 80 and 140 euro a round over there! for a short break I agree that it may not be as viable but anything 5 days and over and the airfare is more than offset by the the course fees. You also have the opportunity to go to the south side for a round! I would also agree that if a second course was to be built in the TRNC it would further encourage golfers.

It's not the 'what' question that should be asked of measey, but the why?

Why does measey keep promoting Esentepe?

Think it's time he came clean.

Groucho;

Two hours from Esentepe.

Are we talking middle of the night here?

Even so. Golfers wake up, have breakfast, leave around 09:00

Get to Aphrodite around 11:00 tee off 12:00

Five hour round of golf

Bite to eat

Leave around18:30 - 19:00, back to Korineum 21:00.

Sounds like fun. (Not)

best place for golf in the world..is the UK...ps...did you know...at the Legend Golf and SaFari Golf club in South Africa..there is a par3 which is 474 yards!

...you are taken up to the tee by helicopter...it takes the ball almost a minute to reach the ground...ps a hole in one wins you 1m dollars!

The green on that hole at the legend is shaped like Africa.
