Just had an excekkent meal at Esentepe Restaurant, Local home made Turkish Food, Meze, Lamb Shish Kebab, Chicken Wings, Chips Home made bread for two, 4 Large Efes all for 46 TL. Worth a vist, yes the venue is basic but the quality of the food is brilliant.

Totally agree. The price you pay for what you get is super. Everything so fresh and home cooked. Don't pass it by.

It's a transport cafe for crying out loud, plenty of other smokeless places about.

It is not a transport cafe but a family run business which is very popular with those who live

in the area. Really good value for money, and never saw anyone smoking there last week.

I agree...this is a good place to eat local food at excellent prices. It may not be the pretiest of restaurants, but the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff make it a lovely place to eat.

Their home made Lamacun & Pide's are my favorites )))

Washed down with a glass of local brew.

You can dine indoors & outdoors.

There is no smoking inside.

Also it has been redecorated recently!

Sunsets the time to be there.

If you're passing by, give it a try )))

No, thats the Tumba Restaurant

Esentepe Restaurant is on the right hand side as you come up the hill, on the last bend before the village.

It is clearly marked and does look a bit like a transport cafe with neon sign and big gravel carpark.

However, its a real gem of a place. Simple delicious home cooked food and excellent value. The tables outside are great and have a perfect view of the coast.

Do try it -we go there several times each time we are in Esentepe as its hard to beat for quality, value and welcome !!!

Just before Rosie's old place on the right, very popular with village folk, including expats. Perfect for lunch or an early dinner to watch the sun go down, highly recommended.

Re msge 15 no the villa hotel is half way up the hill on the left and is run by expats, Tumba is just as you enter the village by the first shop on the left and is run by locals.

To clarify......as you drive up the hill, half way up on the left is the Esentepe Hotel , then proceed up the hill, just before the village and on the right is Esentepe Restaurant, then keep going around the corner and the Tumba is on the left !!

Is this a wind-up?

Esentepe Restaurant is on the right, and Esenterpe Villa Hotel and Tumba on the left !

Why don't you visit and see for yourself, it is such a small place I can assure you you won't get lost, no matter left or right !!!

If you are heading down the hill then I presume they all have moved to the opposite sides?

Except the Tumba of course which is always on the left going up the hill opposite the Red Cross/Crescent building.

Directions to the Tumba.

Going up the hill from the coast road towards Esentepe, it's about a mile in distance from the turnoff, drive past the Esentepe Hotel on the Left, and the Esentepe Restaurant on the right. The Tumba is on the left hand side, next to the Muktah's little shop, at the point where the road narrows just before entering the start of the "main" part of the village where the Sarach supermarket, defunct petrol station and mosque are located.

Tumba are laying a new outside patio and garden, I can verify this as Sapphire & Steele will be playing a gig there on Saturday June 5th, and being chief groupie I checked out the venue a couple of days ago !

Kind Regards

Diana
