The airline crisis has deepened after the UK's flight ban was extended for another day.

Announcing the further restriction of flights in UK controlled airspace, air traffic control company Nats said the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland was "currently spread across the UK".



The ban on all non-emergency flights will remain in force until at least 1am on Monday.



Nats added: There may be limited opportunity in Orkney and Shetland from 7pm today for some flights to operate under individual co-ordination with air traffic control

I was Reading the thread about the route from the UK to here. Hans provided the map. I did ask what the potential problems were, apart from the potential motoring ones.

Ryanair have cancelled all UK & Irish flights until 1300 Wednesday.

Dont fancy keep changing from ferry to train now, done all of that years ago, need a more relaxed route now...



One train straight to Istanbul, sounds more like it...
