Those who don't understand how finance works... read 'em and weep!

Manchester United is still the most valuable football club in the world, according to Forbes magazine.

The Premier League title holders, who came second in a list compiled by Deloitte in February, again topped the table ahead of Real Madrid.

Forbes values United at £1.19bn($1.84bn), Real at £859m ($1.32bn), and Arsenal, in third, at £767m ($1,181m).

OK, but will they finish ahead of Chelski, and win this years FA Cup?

PS. I think Comrade Abramovich is worth a few more Roubles than all three top clubs combined.

Groucho;

you obviously don't understand how finance works!

Forbes list has them showing a debt to value ratio of 46%

Or to put it another way $839million.

They're far from broke but in anyones language that's a lot of baggage to be carrying around.

Ha ha I knew it would start a bun fight.

Mr Abramovitch made a killing out of graft that's why he finds it so easy to spend other peoples' money....

He will find the long-term ownership of a club like Chelsea far too rich even for him.

Newscoop,

It was a tongue in cheek remark...

I know enough to know servicing their debt is never going to be problem unlike many other clubs.. They have always speculated to accumulate, mostly very successfully.

You're argument, is just like the Cyprob. Where, exactly do you want to choose to start?

I would rather win tomorrow, than have won everything in the past!

It's a bit like saying, when I was twenty-one, I weighed 10 stone, now I weigh 21 stone, but I was slim once. Your day will come again, but today, it's ours.

NUFC is the 20th richest - only 1 behind Man.City and will set a new Championship crowd attendance record on Saturday when they entertain Ipswich & won't Roy Keane just love being part of that!!!! A Toon win will see them unbeaten at home for the season and top 100 points. Not bad for a team many thought would do a 'Leeds' but I'm sure that Keano would love to spoil the party!!

My dearest "enemy" kavenkoy.

Good answer.

I know I will be having "twitchy bum squeaks" this weekend.

Spurs are my new favourite second team. Who is yours? (Get well late Torres).

I agree; 30 -30.

One last question; this year, our season will finish on May 15th. When does yours end? Oops, 40 - 30.

message 11 and reply for 40/40

texas ,my favourite new team ...erm i got so many but i would never support the bindippers, and could you see their dilemna ....need 3 points to try and grab 4th spot ,need to beat chelsea, lets go for it ?......oh if we win united become the club that makes history(again)....4th title ?19 and the biggest haul in english footy ....

anyway its a tough call and you may not get the chance to need apoint or 3 against wigan .

so The season ending on 15th may for you is good news ,and a possible double is on your cards .....or will it be a repeat of 2008 and then endied with none ,being so close ?.

for match point , avram grant a team thats been relegated ,surely the guy they treated so badly cant come back with that team and win the cup ?

no that wouldnt happen would it ?

fairytales and roy of the rovers stuff

take care

kavenkoy.

I'm still lol. Very funny. So it's deuce. I thought the point after 30 - 30, was either 40 - 30, or 30 -40!

You went straight to 40 - 40 before a comment, then suggested Match Point. What game are you playing?

I'll grant you, 30 - 40, but only after your last post.

Now, I cannot in my wildest dreams imagine Avram Grant celebrating on May 15th. He will be happy at 14:45, but he will be depressed by 15:15, when Malouda opens the scoring. Then at 15:48 in the third minute of injury time, Lampard smacks home a penalty after Drogba was caught diving, sorry I meant fouled, but nobody saw the dive!

Chelsea, will now bring on Roman Abramovich, with 2 minutes to go. At the final whistle, he pushes past JT, runs up the Wembley steps, grabs the FA Cup from the honorary VIP, (Jose Mourinho) and runs to Avram Grant and pretends to hand him the cup!

DEUCE My friend.

When it was Man U 0 - 0 Spurs, I had it as advantage me. Then Man U scored, back to deuce. Spurs equalised, back to advantage me. Then Nany fluked a very lucky chip! and we're back to deuce, then a dubious penalty that I swore Giggs would put over the bar, now advantage you.

Sunday 18:00. We start at avantage you. Chelsea 1 - Stoke 0, back to deuce. Chelsea 2/3/4/5/6/7 -0 Stoke advantage me.

Next Sunday it may all be over!

PS. What's wrong with massage parlours? Last time I saw you in Titanic you had a smile from "ear to ear".

Efes deal accepted, but I prefer Carlesberg. Cheers

Carlsberg don't play football but if they did they'd probably be Chelsea right now.. They made Stoke look like a Sunday League team... Can't see them letting it slip now.

Steve, we must meet for a beer! Are you going to the Turkish F1 GP?

Hi Gavin,

I'm afraid that I will not be watching the GP in Istanbul. Perhaps next year we might be able to organise a package deal. What do you think?

When I'm next in your area I'll call and we can have that beer. Or if you're at my end, you could join me and kavenkoy for my free winning Carlesberg!

Kavenkoy; Moskow, I've racked my brains and have no recollection of "that night" whatsoever. That does NOT mean you can try and remind me. My "shrink" says I might just get over it before JT. Next week we're taking the next step in my rehabilitation; Chelsea winning 2 - 0 at Anfield, whilst you will win 4 - 1 at Sunderland.

Cheers mate. PS When are you next here?

Happy viewing guys.
