Triathlete coming to do some training in North Cyprus

Hi Guys,

I'll be making my first trip over to your neck of the woods in a few days time.



As a triathlete (swim bike run) i'd be keen to get some training in whilst im out there.

Ideal scenario , is the following:

50 metre pool with lanes.

warm sea,

a decent bike shop that i can hire a racing bike from

Nice smooth tarmac roads to ride on

Sensible cyclist sympathetic car drivers.



Any feedback or thoughts would be great, as it will save me time looking if certain things are a no go.

Well you won't find any nice smooth tarmac roads or sympathetic car drivers!!

Acapulco Hotel Resort has a large swimming, it's own beach and the roads have tarmac where it is located.



Take a look at their site to see if it suits what you are looking for.

Bike hire is an issue if you require a road bike .

You can hire mountain bikes but they tend to be the type that you would pay £50 in the Uk

Why not bring one with you and sell it on 44 before you leave

Funny I should see this post on here now. I'm wanting to train for a triathlon myself. Run a sprint tri before and marathon some years back and wanting to get back into it. Dabbling with the idea of getting a road/tri bike but as of now can't find anywhere to buy one.



When are you planning on arriving? Maybe we can hook up and do some runs together.
