CTA Luggage Allowance Query

Can anyone confirm from experience that the CTA luggage allowance is still 25kgs and more than one case per person is allowed?



My e-ticket says 25kgs but I do remember the previous debacle when they reduced to 20kgs and didn't honour the figure on the e-ticket, and I can't find reference anywhere regarding the number of cases.



I also notice that their website still says 5kgs for hand luggage, yet the KTHY hand luggage sizer at Ercan that I saw two weeks ago says 8kgs (the same as Turkish).

Currently (unless it changed at the weeeknd and we were not notified). 25Kg in as many bags as you want. (Be reasonable!) The cabin baggage is supposed to be 5Kg but in both cases CTA are known to sometimes be "nice" about excess baggage as long as you are too.

I can confirm that CTA are still very good with overweight bags as we went to UK recently with 10kgs over our allowed allowance of 25 kg each and they didn't charge us. We also had four pieces of hand luggage two of which were 10kg each and they didn't even bother to weigh them as long as they are the right size for the cabin !!!

they are prety relaxed on overweight luggage , we brought over lots of stuff , probably 40 kilos per case x3 they never charged us a lira for excess ,
