How come Manchester is so much more expensive than the airports in the south east?

Manchester is more expensive because there are less flights from Manchester and therefore the demand for seats is higher, and the airline increase the prices as seats sell out.

Kelly are your seats from the airline or are they charter seats that you have bought IT or BT Someone said before that cypruspremier are buying them as an operator so that is what I guess you are selling?

If anyone would like to fly tomorrow (17th) from Stansted, for 10 nights (coming back on 27th) - SPECIAL OFFER - NOW ONLY £99 RETURN!!

Re: Msg 5 - Cyprus Premier / Cyprus Paradise are a fully ATOL protected tour operator, and yes, we buy our flights from Cyprus Turkish Airlines and Pegasus airlines.

Re: Msg 6 - At the moment we do not have any special flight offers for August, however we have new offers coming out all the time, which i will post on here as soon as they become available. We also have package holiday offers for August for example 5* Malpas Hotel, departing between 18th August - 29th August, with free half board for only £509 per person for 7 nights.

Kelly thanks for your answer to my question. I assume that if you are selling CTA against your ATOL if they go down you will honour all the flights by putting your customers on other flights which is the Cyprus Premier obligation is it not? I am just making sure as I would like to fly Heathrow to Ercan return in July and some agents seem not sure about selling that journey to me.

We are an ATOL licensed, hence protected company which all flight bookings and packages with flights are financially protected by Civil Aviation authority. In an unlikely situation of Cyprus Premier or any airline we use for flights and packages going into liquidation, customers who are at resort are guaranteed to have a flight back to the UK and also people with bookings for the future are guaranteed a refund if we cannot provide the flights for any reason.

Syilvya - If you are not happy do not buy. That includes from me!

If the seats are from CTA then there is a possible problem (although I would like to support CTA).

Knowing the scheduled prices these are tour operator seats being sold off as they have not got enough clients.

I can't say more as I do not know what contract they might have with the airline.

I am not sure that Kelly understands the ATOL bonding. It is only in case the tour operator goes out of business - the operator or agent are liable for the flight sales made against the ATOL bond not the CAA.

Thanks flight holiday

i'll book with another company it all sounds to good to be true the last time i got cheap flights was with XL they went bust took six weeks to get a refund but paid again £380 odd to get back home from spain when all i paid originally was £102 as you wont get the diffrence back for a new flight and prices shoot up when one hits the wall i think im long in the tooth and have a good idea.

sounds like trouble if its too good to be true probably is not true

Thanks

Sylv,

The prices are very good of that there is no doubt. I know I can't match them.

If we can assist as another company please email me info@flightholiday.co.uk with a number to call or call on 0871 855 2925.

Re Msg 11, 12, 13, 14: It is normal that prices are so low, as following a slow period of the year that volcanic ash and other problems such as the World Cup makes it difficult for tour operators sell their committed seats. As a result customers get very low prices for this quiet period of the year. However if you tried to book for later in July and August then you will see everywhere that prices are much higher. The seats that we have available for this cheap period are very limited.

Our ATOL not only protects the customer if the operator goes out of business but also forces the operator to make sure that if airline goes out of business, that tour operator pays for the seats to bring the customers back to the UK. In fact, it is illegal to sell seats, knowing that you are going out of business. Selling 100 - 200 seats at very low prices would not make a tour operator or airline go out of business.

(cont.)

Cyprus Premier/Paradise bring between 9,000 and 14,000 people to North Cyprus every year, so you can be assured that there is nothing "too good to be true" about these flight offers, we are just selling our seats at discounted rates. You can check our ATOL protection - our ATOL number is 9345.

In summary all of our flight seats sold are amazing prices and fully 100% ATOL protected.

Sylvia, if you would like to speak to one of our friendly and helpful staff, you can call us on 0208 150 6033 and we can reassure you further.

Hi Kelly,

Our ATOL not only protects the customer if the operator goes out of business but also forces the operator to make sure that if airline goes out of business, that tour operator pays for the seats to bring the customers back to the UK.

Very well phrased better than mine. The obligation if you are in business as you know is under sales of goods etc not the ATOL but that is only a legal point.

Cyprus Premier are bonded for 9390 passengers till Sept 10 quarter but that can always be increased if needed. They will be short of passengers like every operator this year and will be eager to give what deals they can contractualy get away with.

All tour operators will need to reduce their expectations over the next months juust to survive.

Sylv

As you say you were burnt with XL (an airline) but there is no reason that I know of not to use any tour operator for ATOL bonded seats they are responsible.

You just turned people off buying CTA tickets and if the rumour you are spreading is untrue, you have just put yourself in danger of being sued by CTA for damaging their business. I suggest you either support your allegation by saying who these friends are, and what reliable source they got this information from, or withdraw them.

Sylvia, I can understand how you feel having been burnt by XL. We have had customers who bought tickets from us and they travelled with XL during the time of they were going out of business. We accommodated them for 2 extra days until the flights were available, then paid for their flights to return them back home. When people buy tickets from ATOL companies they have this extra protection. However when tickets are purchased directly from the airlines or non-ATOL protected agents that is when customers get burnt by these situations.

I am sorry if I sounded harsh, I didn't intend to, however I just wanted to explain further so that everyone is clear with the situation of ATOL sales and non ATOL sales.

Sylv a partial very very rough translation of part of the article:

Kıbrıs Türk Hava Yolları (KTHY)'nın işletme izninin askıya alınması veya dondurulması için son tarih 19 Haziran. Cyprus Turkish Airlines (KTHY) 's suspension of business permit or a June 19 deadline for freezing.

KTHY için çeşitli kurtarma senaryoları tartışıla dursun, TC Ulaştırma Bakanlığı Sivil Havacılık Genel Müdürlüğü'nün verdiği son tarih 2 gün sonra doluyor. KTHY let alone debated various recovery scenarios, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Ministry of Transportation has given two days after the deadline are filled.

KTHY, until June 19 can not be proven to the ministry has successfully improved the financial situation in a given period will be completed and operating license will be suspended for three months.
