AJ This thread was a joke thread.... and was closed as 'serving no purpose' - how can it serve no purpose?



OK somebody with little or no sense of humour didn't understand that it was a joke thread but that's his problem. He seems to get wound up double quick (particularly by anything I write) but why should it be closed?



Are joke threads going to be closed if one person doesn't get the joke?



What purpose are joke threads meant to serve?



In answer to his ill-tempered response I would have said.... "A very loud, greasy, unattractive, tattooed, welfare dependent, chav, minger, woman wearing a Celtic top walked into ASDA in Castlemilk" my remark about the Celtic top was just a feeble attempt at some Gers humour... sorry if it offended but that was the punchline, to use his own advice.. Get over it! He's the one saying if you don't want to be bullied don't post. So what are we to make of his personalising of the thread?

Groucho, you are totally correct, I get wound up by everything you post. I stopped using both forums that we are members of because of your postings.

You may not have noticed but I do not follow any of your postings because I know it would end up with you feeling you have to justify your statements even though I don't agree with them and I would get wound up.

I suppose I was hoping too much that you might do the same, you know that you wind me up and yet the very next post after mine about Celtic is an insulting comment by you. Try walking into Parkhead and stating that anyone in a celtic top is a thief and see how humorous they find it.

In retrospect I suppose that if almost anyone else had written it, I would have realised it was a joke and for that I apologise to berty for causing the post to be closed.

You however have even gone to the length of bitching about it being closed to feel like you've won again.

Now that is childish

You are absolutely correct Chris.

He winds me up and knows it, even in this thread I have little or no sense of humour and my comment was ill-tempered although all I did was ask if he had to go out of his way to irritate me, can't see that it is ill-tempered.

I don't even understand the second part: "I would have said", and then repeat the original comment, I am lost on that one.

Anyway, there is always next season for the old firm, we will be better, can't do much worse I know.

Better go in case I get accused of hijacking, another crime in my illustrious rap sheet.

It was a joke thread about football... Celtic shirts must surely be fair game for jokes. My joke about Celtic shirt wearing shoplifters was just that, a joke. It was not aimed at you... but you chose to take it personally and please don't try and bring logic into jokes about football team shirts. Football team supporters take the piss all the time, nothing is meant by it, unless you are a 'bin-dipper' then it's deadly serious...

Groucho, unlike you I am not trying to win anything. I have allready written above that had it been anyone else I would have thought it was funny. Pick up the scraps of information left for you, I don't like you, you irritate me and yet you still comment about me in unfair ways as if you know me. I promise you this, you don't, even if you had met me, you really don't know me or you would just let it alone.

I didn't close the thread although I have apologised for possibly being the cause of its closure.

I didn't bitch about it and hope to get vindication for the thread being closed as you felt you were unfairly treated because someone elses thread got closed after you made a comment and I chastised you for it.



The main thing that felt to me like you were winding me up is simple.

After berty wrote it could have been any team as a reply, you could have written she was shop lifting, no need for the celtic comment for humour, only for irritation.
