If this article is true: http://www.kibrispostasi.com/index.php/cat/35/news/36896/PageName/KIBRIS_HABERLERI

Then, the government will tomorrow sign a deal with AtlasJet, forming a new 50/50 joint venture airline for 5 years.

All tickets will be honoured, etc.. I'm guessing we'll hear more tomorrow.

There are nearly 100,000 forward flight bookings that need to be honoured.

CTA currently have 650 staff, this will be reduced to 450.

The KTHY name will live on...

Yet more stories in the same news site today about this Joint Venture... They have reported on the announcement from the Prime Minister of this JV. Obviously, honouring the 100,000 forward bookings is on the agenda...

People need not worry too much. The government is aware that it has to sort this out, as it is a mess they created.

CTA / Atlas - I am always careful of any information but it seems on the TRNC Public Information Office board that there is an agreement. I wonder how long it will take before it comes into play.

I have been told that CTA have at least one flight due today but it is probably delayed.

They (KTHY) hope to resume more normal service during Thursday and Friday of this week.

CTA / Atlas - no one is currently privy to the agreement but it seems from the TRNC Public Information Office board that there is an agreement. I wonder how it will affect flights, customers and agents as well as how long it will take before it comes into play.
