We would like to have internet access for clients staying at our holiday villa. Who is the best service to use and how much do they charge?. How long would it take to install?.



All advice welcome since we will only need this during the summer months ( max 6 months). Thanks Jon

you could set it up with "pay as you go " dongle .



you only pay for the months you use ,they then could top up themselves if they were heavy users ?

Install = 50tl

512Kbps = 80tl per month

Then you can stop and start internet as required.

You don't say whether you would be providing a computer and monitor, or whether it is for guests who would bring their own Wi-Fi enabled laptops, blackberrys, Iphones etc.

Also choice of system will depend on there being 'coverage' for the area in which the Villa is situated - which you didn't specify.

So - 'subject to coverage' - for 6 month's use a year, I think that you have a choice of either: -

1) A Turkcell or 3G 'dongle' and sim card - this would suit either a 'desktop' or a single laptop computer. Either you or your guests would purchase credit as needed - no charge for when it's nor in use.

OR

2) 'Wireless Broadband' from Sunny Cyprus. The 'Wireless' part means that you receive the service by means of an aerial on a short pole. Suitability as above, PLUS - if you buy a Wireless Router, then multiple users can access the broadband signal using their own Wi-Fi enabled devices. Sunny Cyprus allow 'payment holidays' when you don't need the system, with a £10/mnth standing cha

- and as I now have more room to type - The SC scheme means you pay 12 x £10, and then £25 for each month that you want a 512Kb/s service (1Mb & 2Mb available for a higher fee, each time that you request a month's service) the month runs from the actual date that service commences, not 1st to 31st of the month.

We would not supply the monitor etc, so I would need a wireless access for laptops etc. We are located in Alsancak near Escape Beach, so hopefully the coverage would be ok. Thanks for your help.
