Well after spening the last week or so trying to find out if we would be flying

I started to price up alternatives. Manchester airport told me no flight from

either cta or atlasjet and definately no flight to ercan via Antalya

No one from atlasjet uk or on 0090 numbers answers the phone. Kthy

numbers don't work either.

Bit the bullet and got flights to larnaca. Arrived tonight and looking

forward to a great holiday but had to borrow to pay for new flights

so while here wondered how I would go about or where I should go

to try to get refund on original tickets.

I have come over with my whole family and so spent over £3000 on

the original flights and no before anyone asks I didn't use a credit

card - I don't have one, I paid directly to kthy using debit card over the phone

as I booked direct and no one answers their phones I don't know what to do next?

Do they have offices? If atlasjet merged and kthy did not go into

liquidation then can I insist on a refund fr

Hve you taken out travel insurance? If so you should be able to claim on this. We are currently claiming on a Saga travel insurance under the section that pays out for a scheduled flight that did not operate because the airline went into insolvency.

Will post details as to how we get on.

If it was a Visa Debit card, then you may be in luck!

Important bit from that site is:

If the goods/services you bought with your card do not materialise, then you should contact the bank who has provided you with your Visa debit card within 120 days, requesting they initiate the chargeback process. It does not mean you will automatically and immediately get your money back. It will initially become a ‘dispute’ in which the claim will be fully investigated by both banks before any money is returned.
