NINE flights at Larnaca Airport will be affected today by the Greek nationwide strike that will start from 10am until 2pm.

According to Hermes Airports’ spokesman Adamos Aspris, only two of the nine flights will be cancelled, while the rest will be re-scheduled for later in the day; though he didn’t have more details and urged the travelling public to contact their airlines or travel agents directly.

The strike will not affect Paphos Airport.

“All the cases involve flights that were meant to be carried out to and from Athens and Thessalonica Airports,” Aspris explained. “The public is informed that the affected airlines have already readjusted their schedules, so passengers interested in finding out the changes should contact their airlines and travel agents directly before arriving at Larnaca International Airport.”

Meanwhile, Cyprus Airways (CY) yesterday announced the three of its flights that will be affected by today’s strike

Good idea go south and complain that Larnaca is closed.

I pity all the Brits & others who booked South to leave/arrive since the demise of CTA - just another woe!

I have a feeling these are flights from Greece where the strike is and therefore will have no effect on Brits seeking replacements for UK-->Cyprus flights
