I am arriving in Istanbul from Stansted on 22nd Oct and returning on 1st Nov.

Intending to spend 2 days with friend either on outward or return, but so far not

met with much success finding suitable flights from - to Ataturk, as it is a B.A flight

arriving 16.20 on 22nd and leaving 16.40 on 1st. Tried Atlas & Turkish air but both

have long waits between flights. Any suggestions?

Its better you have breating space as if you book and your outgoing flight is delayed this may cause problems

Not being a transit passenger have your £10 ready for your 3 month Turkish visa per person cash credit cards are a lot more in us$

Yes, I always have my £10 ready, wanderer, as I forgot once and they wouldn't

accept Scottish pound notes. Think I must have persuaded them in the end as

I got through eventually.

IST to ECN, THY have 18:25 departure, so only a couple of hours if you arrive at :16:20.

ECN to IST, THY have 09:35 departure, so you arrive 11:10.. 5+ hours wait...



So best to do the stay in Istanbul on the way back... So you only have the 2 hours connection on the way out.

Thanks zcacmxi. I did check them out as times were o.k if I stop over on return but the prices

were more than I am paying for Stsd. Istanbul rtn.! Will have another look as it doesn't seem right.

Note, if you are a HSBC Premier customer you can use the VIP Lounge at Istanbul Airport for free!
