Ref: Atlasjet flights from Manchester or Stansted to Ercan and Pegasus Flights from Stansted to Ercan. Please let me know if these particular flights only touchdown in Istanbul and then take off again for Ercan 1 hour later? Do passengers ever have to leave the inbound Aircraft, collect luggage at Istanbul and then queue again for another flight to Ercan? Many thanks.

I think it's mainly the Turkish Airline flights that you sometimes have to change planes in Turkey and therefore a slightly longer wait.

For Pegasus, have a look at the routing on the booking page. "Via Istanbul" means that you get off and there's a plane change. "Istanbul Touchdown" means you don't.

Thanks to "ianwfs" and "flightholiday" (I have just picked up your messages of 08/08/2010). Our first trip to North Cyprus coming up. We are booked from Glasgow to Larnaca with Thomson on Sunday 26/09/2010 for 2 weeks. Quite expensive flights, but it is a direct flight of 5 hours. I am also looking at other options should we return again to look at property and may need greater flexibility with flights! Regards, Alastair.

Many thanks, "malsancak". Great advice (no title = no money). I am always pleased to hear any worthwhile advice from the "seasoned campaigners" no doubt, like yourself. I have been "tuning-in" to the very worthwhile comments made by most contributors to the 44 forum. This trip will be a holiday, but I will investigate possibilites. I am often accused by others of being over-cautious. You can never be too careful! I will do my best not to get sucked in to an emotional purchase, just 'cos I like the view! Again, many thanks for your helpful comments!

If it's a VIA Istanbul or TOUCHDOWN Istanbul with Anadolu Jet Stanstead / Ercan ?

Booked through Turkish Airlines.

Colliedog, sorry I don't have enough knowledge of the Turkish Airlines flights.

Hoping Tom (Flightholiday) might pick up the post. He's the man on flights.

Hi ahw7403

If your going to be flying with Atlas jet or Pegasus airlines, they both stop in Turkey for an hr or so and you do not leave the inbound aircraft, you carry on to N.Cyprus on the same aircraft. You don't have to collect your luggage, nor queue up for another flight to come to Cyprus.

That's cheap Pat. I've paid 259 for September.
