Sorry didn't update sooner, but things have been a little bit slow. (mainly due to paperwork) and our interpereter and Chesire Homes have had a lot of chasing to do this end.



We where hoping for a miracle, or a bit of good luck. But unfortunatley Turkey have confirmed the same.



Ismail does have cancer. We hope that he will be admitted soon and that it can be treated and removed.



I know that most of you feel the same. except one lovley man who posted on another forum, along the lines of . supporting Ismail and Chesire Homes ,THAT BOY again. I would give to anything else but that. May be some one could post the link on here please.



How could anyone be so heartless, a ittle boy who lost his arm age 4, and then develops cancer in his good arm.



I am not to good with IT , could some one kindly post is details on here , Thank You

England has already raised 30 plus million,also USA and many other countries.



When countries stop spending the peoples wealth on nuclear arms and look at there own infastructure then im sure people will start to feel a little more sympathetic to there cries for help.



This charity for THAT BOY as you so both call him,malcom channing ,david waters, is a 4 or 5 year old child,who through no fault of his own has been diagnosed with cancer.



So we as decent human beings feel we are fortunate enough to be able to help THAT BOY by what ever means become available to us .

Before anyone accuses me of being anti-Ismail read the context of my comment. It was in reply to David's "THAT BOY" comment. I'm sure it doesn't apply to the posters here but there are some people who launch bullying crusades based on getting hold of the wrong end of the stick. ZeroChlor's msg 8 is misleading. Thanks John Good for bringing the post to my attention so I could put things right before they got out of hand.

I'll even make it clearer, my attitude to David's comment was one of surprise and disapproval and because of work commitments I just reiterated his comments. So before I'm falsely accused of something I've not done, I have no negative attitude towards Ismail's charity and never have. I wonder how long it will take for this to get out of hand? I notice a comment has just appeared on NCFP, I wonder if this is to do with the issue? It is interesting to watch the pressure build up. I wonder who will get involved?

what % of donations go to Cheshirehomes and what &% if any go direct to Ismail & his family please a little transparency may go a long way, there are lots of fundraising efforts and not many if any clues as to what money is being spent on .

Try contacting Lee and talk this over on the phone..Ismails fund is set up under cheshire homes charity trust, and all the funds raised for Ismail and his family go where it should. Cheshire homes have their own funds..bloody hell once and if the cancer charity here get involved at all you will want to know the in and outs of that said charity...and the next question will be for KAR..Perhaps to you it is a valid question but my guess is the bank statements would not be put onto a public forum. ))

John Good, do you ask to see the accounts of every charity you support? I'm sure most people who have supported the Ismail charity have done so in concern for that lad and are in no way interested in seeing the accounts. Cheshire Homes has even offered to give receipts to anyone donating, so I'm sure it's all above board. If you don't want to give to a charity, then don't, but is there a need to then to try to put other people off giving?

MSG 46 i agree 100%, many of us know someone who either has or has died from cancer and watching someone you love wither away in front of your eyes is the most heartbreaking thing in the world. When it is a child it is even worse and believe me i am talking from experience.

I am disgusted and sickened to read through all this crap, please spare a thought for what this family are facing right now because you would not want to swap places with them. They are a very poor family and if it was not for Lee raising the money for the false arm this cancer would never have been detected.

I am praying that they have caught it in time but for those of you that have used this child as a point for a row then you should be ashamed of yourselves.

John this is more than money, i get food, clothes toys etc dropped into me on a daily basis. Lee picked up on this little boy as no one else , government , locals etc wouldnt help. without Lee the cancer would not have ben detected and that beautiful little lad would have continued being bullied etc.They are a poor but proud family. This topic was an update on Ismail, Things have been delayed in Turkey due to paperwork etc.

Oour interpreter Yasin has spent the best part of 2 days running around Lefkosa to sort things, in conjunction with Chesire Homes.



Hopefully now it is sorted, and tomorrow we hope that Ismail can start the process of the Cancer being removed, by operation.



We will keep you updated. our only interest at the moment is Ismail and his family, and what they are going through.

Hello All, before this thread gets closed, Snakes and I wish to say thank you to everyone who came last night to BAR 8.8, and so generously gave to the NAFI fund to help give this little lad, Ismail, a better chance in life, something that both of us 'by the grace of God' have not had to face with our own children. We wish Ismail every blessing.



The sum raised was 796.95TL and 6 Euros.

It was a great night and I hope one day little Ismail will realise that through his trials and tribulations he has given a lot of people a lot of pleasure through being able to attend these fun events.



A mothers worst nightmare is to outlive her children, so spare a thought for his mum as well as she must be going through hell at the moment. If the power of positive thought actually works then Ismail will live a happy and full life after this latest trauma, our thoughts and those of most of the island I would think are with him daily.



As to Lee and Jan and all the other people who have been involved with the fund-raising, the world would be a better place if there were more like them.

Only just read this thread again after reading when it was first posted, but what I can say is that without the likes of Lee & Jan and Snakes who pick up on these things like Ismail,s problems and do something positive.Not like the majority who,yes, think its tragic and terrible but never get off their arses to make a difference, to help someone less fortunate than themselfs, and yes I include myself in that. So one thing we can all do is support these people, go to their fund raising nights and buy your raffel tickets. And stick the price of a drink in the collection,that way we can make a little lads life and his familys lives a little better.

Several people have asked me to help the family directly. My agreement with Chesire Homes will also not be discussed on a Public Forum.



If it hadn,t have been for the support of CH. we could not have done this.

We are busy all weekend , for C. H. today and Ismail tomorrow. Actually for the last 5 months Jan and I have had very little time to our selves.



The plan was that Ismail would have been having his Prosthetic limb ready for his 6th Birhtday in Sept, and we would get our life back.



But it didn't work out that way, so we must see this through. When the time is right and things are sorted we will gladly have an open meeting and discuss any issues.



Why does some one join this forum 10 days ago and suddenly take such a negative interest. ctd.

Some one from another Charity as tried constantly to blacken my name from day 1, He even made a telephone call to one of his cronies, (an ex police officer) who was going to do a fund raiser, and talk her out of it.



One of my friends spoke to her and got me the details of the call, he was appalled at the things these people had said about me, (Bear in mind they had both met me once for avery short time)



She even had the Gaul to do a posting on 44 saying that she could read between the lines. (What Lines) No wonder the UK police have earned such a stinking reputation'



This man also phoned Ismails Dad and promised to help the family. Then he stated in the Cyprus Today that he was going to give money to Ismails appeal.



Hollow Talk neither of these things where done. I cannot understand after making false promises how people can have the nerve to show their face.



I was taught as child that if you say you are going to somthing you do it.

Hello Dutch. I havnt got time for fighting, This topic was an update on Ismail inTurkey. A 5 year old boy who lost his left arm and now has cancer in is good arm.



Can you beleive what some people have turned it into, It beggars belief



I must be mad, im spending time replying to people I don't have to. Whilst our boats sits in The Old Harbour. We have only had time to use it twice this year.
