Yesterday??

Where did this info come from?

I've tried the CTA web site, and you still can't book a flight after October. Nothing on the Transit Travel web site either.

Simma,

I have spoken to CTA on a number of occasions since April.

Firstly they told me end on June, then no later than the end of July.

I'm going to contact them again tomorrow but they could just tell me anything.

Have been on it looking for end Oct. or 2nd week Nov. & they have good

offers from Ststd. especially for Nov. dates. However, they no longer fly

from Glasgow which means we up here have to add on about another £100 to fly down there. Well you do save at other end & it's good if you want stop offs

in London and/or Istanbul

I spoke to a travel agent about this a few weeks ago and they said normally the winter timetable is out arround the end of August. Personally I think it ridiculous as some friends wre wanting to come out in late September returning October but cant book the return leg. Its hardly the way to win business.

We have flights booked for October booked month ago, it is from last week of October on they were not available. Flights were difficult to find though because October is a busy month with half term.

The info we were given was mid - end August for rest. This is no diferent to any other year, not acceptable but nothing changes there.

Our family would also use Pegasus if they would fly to somewhere north of Birmingham.

Does anybody fly with Turkish Airlines ??? or the main Airlines like BA, KLM etc. We have to fly Turkish Airlines and I must say their Miles and Smiles Programme is pretty good, quick to accumulate points for free flights and upgrades.

Worth paying a little extra too for on time flights, baggage handling, airline lounge etc etc.

just had a thought for the Scottish contingency this could be useful for those in the Dundee area - who could fly to Birmingham with Loganair.
