"The Ferrari F1 team fired their entire pit crew yesterday." This announcement followed Ferrari's decision to take advantage of the British government's 'Work for your Dole' scheme and employ some Liverpudlian youngsters. The decision to hire them was brought about by a recent documentary on how unemployed youths from Toxteth were able to remove a set of wheels in less than 6 seconds without proper equipment, whereas Ferrari's existing crew could only do it in 8 seconds with millions of pounds worth of high tech gear. It was thought to be an excellent, bold move by the Ferrari management team as most races are won and lost in the pits, giving Ferrari an advantage over every other team. However, Ferrari got more than they bargained for! At the crew's first practice session, not only was the scouse pit crew able to change all four wheels in under 6 seconds but, within 12 seconds, they had re-sprayed, re-badged and sold the car to the Mclaren team for 8 cases of Stella, a b

It's all lies anyway! I regularly used to park my BMW in Liverpool with no problems at all however when I went to visit my brother in Deptford the southern scalleys took the tyres and left us with old stock bricks from some demolished warehouse in Wapping. Being a true scouse I was devastated cos the bricks were not RED!!

Quite so Rowlo but I was being serious!! The bricks were yellow and white by the way. Houses in the South East are built with them and expensive ones at that! However I preferred my wheels!

Panchocat, i will always remember doing a job when the lecckie companies were being deregulated, i was sent to the worst council estate in the uk. I arrived and at the time i had a golf convertible. First i was met with a gang of youths, do you want your car looking after. I said WHY. 10 quid a wheel they said. jeaz i was lucky to earn that, we had a deal if no Tyre got stolen i gave them a tenner. My expectations on this being horrendous well i would say 80 per cent were little palaces. mum lived in one house and her kids had the next few, but they were so well looked after. only a few i had to clean my shoes on the pavement when i came out. The strange thing each and every one said would you like a drink, the messy ones with larger cans and fags everywhere were the most hospitable. 2 weeks i spend there got to know them and they got to know me. not one scratch on my car. Next day i went t cardiff on a girlie day out guess what in a car park two wheels gone and roof slashed

Where was the estate Lilli? Blackbird most of Cardiff is quite upmarket now. Guess every great city has its Gorbals/Tiger Bay/Toxteth/Handsworth type areas though. Have to say the car was never touched in the Pool though, perhaps it was the Tranmere Rovers sticker in the back window, maybe the Reds and Blues took pity on me. lol!!

A young man moves to a village in Wales and gets talking to an old man from the village. He asks the old man what his name is; the old man gets very irate at this point and says: "See that line of houses over there? I built them all, but do they call me Jones the house builder? Do they hell! See those railway lines over there? I laid them all, but do they call me Jones the engineer? Do they hell! See those bridges over that river? I built them all, but do they call me Jones the bridge builder? Do they hell! But, a long long time ago, I ****d *one* sheep..."
