Ah! Paul... Someone had to ask it - because I would like to know the name also... They told us on the market in Girne when we bought a young white and a young red tree, but I forgot the name!

Hi Hans, looks like a Frangipani, (Plumeria) but be careful of the sap as it contains poisons.

RE msg 5, stilluvithere: (...) does it smell similar to the white (...)

=> No, the smell of the white is much stronger. The white one (in our garden) also grows faster and blossoms earlier in the year.

Here in Cyprus we call them "Rozet" and they will grow anywhere.

DC,

We had them everywhere in our garden, even in cracks between the concrete but for some reason they all disappeared this year.
