The England striker agreed a new five-year deal after crunch talks with United boss Alex Ferguson and chief executive David Gill persuaded him his future is at Old Trafford.

He appeared to want to leave, stating he was not happy with the policy of the clubs commitment to new players. So no doubt a bigger weekly pay packet has convinced him otherwise! Yeh Right!

I love football - but honestly couldn't give 2 hoots if the spoilt little pikey stays or goes.

This deal was always on the cards as it suits both parties - Rooney probably has another £50k a week in his grubby little mits and Man U can now make sure they get a stupid amount of money for him should he leave after all!

I cannot believe that this was given time on the BBC World News - was a bloody disgrace with all that is going on in the world - an overpaid, over rated spoilt brat.
