KKTC driving license new rules !!?

im looking forward to buy anew car here in Cyprus. so i have to make a KKTC driving license i guess.

i already have an jordanian one. and an international one. i remember that i only have to give my license and they will make KKTC one for me. because i already made it 3 years ago but now i lost it.

but i heard today that the rules had been changed lately. (one month ago), the new rules will force me to enter a driving school and to enter again an driving exam which also will cost me about 2000 tl...

is that true ? or the guy who told me that is just humbling ??

Surely, if you already had a KKTC licence, your details will be on file, best ask at the driving licence dept. in Girne.

As long as you can speed,ignore traffic signals,talk on a mobile whilst driving and having a fag with a child on your lap you wont have any problems passing a test

lool gooligan well the point is not the test.. the point is the money for the test !! 2000 TL for a driving license is too expensive !!!



britcyp : ill try this on Monday. i issue it from lifkosa three years ago. i dunno if the departments are connecting together! but anyway.. do u have any idea where i can find it in girne ? and what is its turkish name ?

It is the building behind the Kaymakamlik in Girne. Heading East, turn left just before the hospital (there is a small blue sign for Kaymakamlik on the corner up quite high). Take the first right and then right again and it is the first big white building on the right. Go in through the main doors and go through the door on the left-hand side.

I just did my hubby's driving licence and it was the same procedure as it was for mine 2 years ago. Its a wind up I think!
