No offence.

but I dont think I would want to invest in a company whose advice is-

"The North Cyprus property market has grown rapidly over the past three to five years and North Cyprus has seen a boom in demand for investment property in the past year in particular. Demand does not seem to be abating."

Perhaps I should put my house on the market with you?.

girne 29, you are not suggesting that Architecture might be telling porkies are you? I think it might just be a language problem where "invest" means take your money and "boom" means "pop" as in the balloon has burst.

Hello Mal

I would never say such a thing, Omission is not a porky .

Think the language changes according to whether you are buying or selling.

When I put my house on the market I am told by estate agents the market is dead and if I want sell, to price it at more or less what I paid years ago,but when I look on estate agents sites I am told to invest because the market is jumping and prices have gone up 20% year on year for the last 4 years.

Wonder if any estate agent would back up the Turkish Title is okay claim, by telling purchasers they pay the last 60% of the price when Kocan is in their name.

'Loved' the 'up to date' "economic factors" section.. Was it written in early 2004 ? ;)

One would have to be TRULY 'out of touch' to accept some of the outlandish claims made on this site...

RE msg 11, Architecture: (...) this country is still moving forward. (...)

=> Should read: ... this country is still moving two steps back and one forward.

You need a new copywriter, Architecture.

there are lot of negative people in this forum, if people don't have any interest in what this guy trying to do don't comment or make a joke out of it. If cyprus good enough to live then don't bitch about it.

Serkam re msg 15

What - if anything - is 'incorrect' about the observations made by the 'negative posters' ?

re 11 Architecture

Can you deal with specific critique - instead of trying to 'talk up' a situation in a manner that would be 'funny' if you weren't trying to get folk to invest at a time when the sensible move is to wait ..?

There is no harm in trying selling something - if you are realistic and honest

Come on, now .. please respond to "economic factors" claims that are TOTAL nonsense.

As it stands, now, this website is grossly misrepresenting MANY things.

Message 15.

285 people 'in' this forum have showed interest in what this woman(not guy) is trying to do,it was after discovering the poster was talking from the rear end that the negative replies did flow.

msg21.."You own the company"therefore you have a responsibility to your "targeted" potential customers.Changing your Web site to describe the TRNC's major property issues as they really are would be a start............... But I think it would shoot your "BOOM" theory in the foot....IMHO...

RE msg 21, Architecture: (...) I work for this company not own it, so if you can keep the personal comments to yourselves (...)

=> By posting on this forum you run a certain risk (on C44 called 'comments') especially if you are found out to lie. In TRNC there is or used to be a company advertising "We build dreams"- your company should advertise with "We sell lies". This is from your website (and I can give more examples), section "About North Cyprus": "A new member of the EU, with stunning scenery, beautiful beaches, very strong tourist industry and property prices far more competitive than in other EU countries, Cyprus is is widely regarded as a lucrative world property market."

Whether you are the owner of the company or only work for it: the website you advertise in message 1 is dishonest.

I have to agree with D.C. the/your web site information is Mendacious in the extreme...Most of it sounds like a badly edited version of a typical 2004/5 promotional web site..............I really do feel that this Forum is the wrong place for lies to be tested on people who have suffered at the hands of the untruthful brigands here in TRNC..................................

Architecture -

all comments made are valid and you should take heed ...

most of these investment opportunities have to do with property and should be targeted at Turkish investors, not Ex-Pats or other Europeans as there are no guarantees in respect of property.

Architecture

Look at the top sticky post "Property justice silent peacefull candlelit vigil" it may give you a clue as to why there is a lack of investment in the TRNC. Investing here is similar to visiting one of the many casinos.

"Investcyp has already implemented a lot of housing projects as well as many private developments all are of a high constructural standard in North Cyprus."

Would you please name these housing projects?

Oh dear - you really have no idea what you have let yourself in for!! I would run why you can if I was you...

IMHO your website is very poor, lots of mistakes etc. so if you really want to find investors I would look to improve your companies Image and i would definately avoid places like this

Architecture, welcome to a forum where the glass is always half empty.

It's funny, the first time I went to Baku, the place was like a bomb site, and I said at the time "if you want to be a millionaire in 20 years time, this is a place to invest" Properties now sell for 10x the price they were back then.

If anyone had bought say a nice 4 bed detached property in areas of Cabinda and Luanda (Angola) 10-15 years ago, they would now be sitting on a retirement fund.

If you are expecting people on this forum to have anything other than depressed negative views, you will be disappointed, but then most didn't even have the for sight to do a little 'due diligence' before jumping in with their eyes wide shut and buying in what may one day become a third world country.

Your efforts might be better focused on somewhere where all and sundry don't spend most days feeling sorry for themselves.

Its not negative views ,its 100% factual views .

So would you be positive and happy to tell a relative to invest, based on the advert.

90% of the statements are incorrect in the site, and can be backed up with proof. ie

There is not a property boom.

There is a very poor ,not strong tourist industry. NC is not in the EU. etc etc

If you agree with the sites statements as being factual ,then its your right to tell any potential purchasers that.

We disagree and have a similar right to tell the same purchasers that you are wrong .

"Due diligence", dont even go down that route, you are flogging a dead horse, and its an insult to the people who are losing their homes to the banks.

ref to Luanda etc is invalid as I have no objection to the author saying invest in TRNC and in 20 years you will be a millionaire. That might or might not happen. What I object to is being told what is the situation now. I know what I paid and what is worth.I can see the beach
