having a debate.we have always travelled on a british passport to trnc, but after our last fiasco have booked easyjet to larnaca. the question is...as we have turkish stamps in our passport, what will the greek passport control say? ive read they see it as illegal? will we get through? or do we need a visa?

Same as Andy. We've gone back and forth lots of times as well. No problems whatsoever.

Why would 'Greeks' have a say at a Cypriot airport....?

How many times.. they are Cypriots that speak a 'form' of Greek .. don't 'encourage' them'.. ;)

You'll be fine.. the 'worst' they could do is 'cancel' your 'illegal visas' and confiscate any material relating to property.

It does not happen now, but ,years ago we visited Paphos and had several KKTC stamps on our passports

. These were immediately obliterated by large, bright red "CANCELLED" stamps before we were allowed entry!

Hi Hawkeye re msg 9

'northies' were able to enter the 'rump' RoC from midnight 1/5/2004 as the RoC joined the EU... the right of freedom of movement for EU citizens came in to force.. nought to do with Annan.

Previously, the 'rump' RoC refused entry to EU citizens who hadn't entered via a legal port of entry.. i.e not Ercan ( aka Tymbou airport) .. they could be refused entry unless arriving via LCA / PFO...

This STILL applies to Visa nationals trying to enter the 'rump' RoC..that includes Russian / Ukrainian passport holders.

If anyone is concerned, just ask for the 'TRNC visa' to be stamped on a separate piece of paper.

Msg 1. If you have a British passport, Any border control cannot refuse you entry from either side or port you came in from.

Read the first page of your Passport.
