I always use Comeq, next door to the Tantuni Restaurant and the Pound Shop, opposite the original Starling supermarket. They alwayts seem to have the full range.

Ebay- you'll pay about £5.50 incl postage to Cyprus for a black cartridge

Some HP inkjet printer cartridges are refillable - I refill mine with *pigmented ink - [*once dried, doesn't run, even if wetted]. It's better to refill them before the print fades, otherwise the print head tends to dry out.

I refill cartridges and have bought "generics" from EBAY (shipped to a PO Box in the South). The only problem I have had is getting the printer to recognise the cartridge (and therefore ink levels). It can be guess work knowing how much ink you have left if the cartridge is not reset.

The problem you describe, yenibob, is very valid. It seems that there's some very clever in-built programme that, on some printers, including some HP, that won't recognise the same cartridge twice, even if that cartridge has been refilled - it's infuriating! Of course, they just want you to buy their new and grossly overpriced cartridges, which probably contain only about a quarter of the ink that they could - I know that from refilling!

On my 10 year old Canon BJC 4310SP inkjet, I've filled the same B/W cartridge about 20 times with no visible loss in print quality! It's a bit slower than the latest 'whizzo gizmo' models - but, what the heck!

I needed to refill my own cartridges, as I was printing out many 500 page manuscripts for my novel - otherwise it would have cost 'an arm and a leg'!

Let's have the details of this Novel then. Always looking for something new to read.

Went to Bortec today, didnt have 1 in stock, just as well as they quoted me 39 euros. I realise that prices are higher here than the UK, but they are available for £34 for a twinpack from Viking direct
