Thurs. 16th, start at 1.00pm. this ones for all you early birds and afternoon party animals. We are going to have a get together at Guido's .The man himself is going to prepare a Xmas buffet.



Lets party in to the evening, Singalong, Christmas Hits, Also I am going to be testing your brains with my Music and Christmas quiz, Quality Christmas prizes, also a raffle.



A real good fun afternoon and a chance to meet up with some of the 44 members.

Bad publicity can always turn into good publicity too. Kibris line dancing have been very good helping raise funds just the other week..they are a great group and do such very good work here for charity too. Hope this has helped you with your question !

msg 5: because so many "lighthearted and happy" posts on here have a habit of being anything but. Why did the "official" fundraisers distance themselves from "a new arm for Ismail". Until that is addressed I will view any "unofficial" fundraising on this board with suspicion. You do what you think is "right" but do not knock me for saying what I suspect may not be right. As always I will donate just in case it is going to a worthwhile cause and God will judge those that abuse.

I know he has not been interested in the forum in the last month as he is so busy with bigger fish to fry than kalsankaks fools or who ever he gets aggresive emails from,im sure he will sort them out in his own time and place!!!!!!!!!



it is strange really how a man is banned with the excuse of not bringing nothing posative to the forum.

message 4 & 7 as far as I recall Lee made a conscious decision to distance fund raising for Ismail from a "charity" which was involved in a previous questionable dispute regarding money obtained by one of the senior members. Lee's massive uphill battle to help this poor boy (a passion from deep in his heart) was hindered by this charity who decided to channel funds and restrict his treatments. Hardly a demonstration of their "motto" "Disability knows no borders" ! I know for a fact that never a second in any day goes by when Ismail is not top of Lee's thoughts (and Jan) and priorities, therefore your suggestion that fund raising has been "sidelined" is a cruel and hurtfull misunderstanding ! You obviously have no idea with regard to the work that goes on constantly behind the scene ! regards Barry

any one collecting any funds for ismail risks prosecution unles they first obtain a licence. no matter how well intentioned or how worthwhile the cause is. this was in cyprus today recently, in the article on carl.

At certain times of year, and various religious dates the locals collect money for their poorer neighbours and relatives etc and fellow muslims.



My parterners also do this in the UK. The purpose of Ramamdan is so that they can also feel what it is like to be starving, I am no expert on this, but this is how it was explained to me.



Also at one Ramamdan, one of our staff could not fast due to medical reasons, so he donated 25% of his wage instead.



We have given on many occasions. Just gave it to friends to pass on.

The main part of this is a Xmas get together, it was never intended as any sort of fundraiser.

Jan and I have stunning print (limited edition) brand new, by a local artist, In a beautiful modern silver frame.





It was donated by 2 of our very good friends earlier this year to raise money for Ismail. We where going to use it at the Pia Bella concert, but it was far to good for a raffle prize.



It is Girne Harbour, and it is Top Notch. I think we may bring it to auction on the day.

Having seem Guido's menu, it is almost worth getting on a plane and coming back! I miss me old mate NN too as he seems to be in very good form, thank goodness. Liz and Guido will do you proud as always.



By the way Johnny Lee, what you have done is fantastic. You must, however, remember that the derogatory comments you have received have come from well balanced people i.e. those with a chip on both shoulders!

I'm certainly no expert but can speak from experience. During her latter years, my Mum had two nasty falls, both outside on the pavement. She did, once, have a very slight case of 'broken' skin and that was where her spectacles had cut into the skin under one of her eyes. The rest of her face, particularly down one side (the side she fell onto, obviously) was black and blue, eventually fading to mauve and yellow. It most certainly was not scabby by any stretch of the imagination, so I can assure people that it is quite possible to have a fall and sustain facial injuries such as this lady has.



I fail to see why what could easily be construed as 'insinuations' are being made here.

A friend of ours had dental treatment just a few months ago and half of her face was just as bad, I must say it looked a fright, but hay it was not going to keep her indoors either.
