Has anyone had a wedding at Shayna Beach, and if so were you pleased with it, we had two ideas in mind for weddings and this was our 2nd choice.

Not had any involvement with a wedding at Shayna Beach, but have been there when they were putting on a big event for about 200, which included live music and a 3 course meal.

Absolute shambles.....

It might be ok with about a dozen or so guests, but anything on the grand scale could be quite a worry for the one who suggested and booked the venue.

Hope that helps.

Michael

They have a new website, see the thread a week or so ago by Erdin, and a wedding package leaflet in the restaurant. Although they are now closed for the winter I am sure Midsummer House are still contactable.

Hi Jayne62.

We had a wedding reception there in June. Everything about it was completely satisfactory. The food was great, the service was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. Based on our experience I would highly recommend it as a venue. They gave us exactly what was ordered and at an unbelievable price. I cannot think of one thing we could complain about. When the registrar failed to turn up they organised that too.

Definitely consider it.

Hi Carmel (and all),

We were also considering Shayna for our wedding and other places by the sea such as 5Mile, Cornaro and Ambiance. Hope i'm not being too intrusive but would you mind emailing me a couple of pictures from your wedding at Shayna please? just so that i can see how it looks like when nicely decorated, etc.. manuelabxl@gmail.com

many thanks in advance.

Jayne & Manuela - Would it be worth talking to the wedding organisers two or three are often mentioned on Cyprus44?

Definitely think you should talk to some of the wedding planners such as those advertised here, or Teresa (with whom you may already be talking)

Hope you find the venue of your dreams and have the wedding of your dreams.

hi jayne

try Vashti she is a wedding organisor and is highly recommended.

If you put VASHTI into the search at the top of the page you will find her details.

I provided the wine for a wedding she organised last summer and I was very impressed by her and the whole set up, it was in a private house but very well done with lots of nice attention to detail

The number I have is 0090 533 868 3867

good luck

Hi Jayne

Vashti comes highly recommended and is a lovely person to deal with,

Efendi is a a great place to have a wedding reception also, good food -service and attention to detail would be well catered for here.

Congratulations and good luck on your forthcoming wedding,

Best wishes

Saffi

Hi,

I am using Shayna in May for my reception - can I ask you to email me some pics too please? We have been there many times, but I'm trying to get my head around how it will look on the day. Any help appreciated

Just found this and could not resist saying 'congratulations' on the deed done today. Just married! should be hanging from the back of your jacket.

Hope the reception went well, and do post on here to show all the negatives that Shayna is not all bad.

Have a good life and keep posting on here so we can all know how life is going in sunny Surrey.

Have a good life Mr & Mrs Kafoor!
