Yes you can but your insurance can be a problem as you need a trnc licence but you can drive on your uk one for 3 months. Talk to the insurance people first.

The police say that your insurance is invalid if you dont have a TRNC license, and are still using your uk or any other countries license after three months.

Deniz is correct: you cannot drive for longer than the 3 month visa period without a TRNC licence for a TRNC registered car. If you have an accident outside of this period, the insurance company will not pay.

Thank you mes 6 i do know what i am talking about. If you have an accident while driving on another license you may not be covered thats why a said check with the insurance company but even then they will want to take your money. I had an accident a couple of years ago and i was all legal thank god but still had to pay a fine even though it was not my fault. Reason? I was British other driver a cypriot.

Deniz1;

The fine applies to Cypriots as well.The police here are known to try and get it sorted between two parties before taking estatements in order to save people from having to pay the said fine.

I got cut up by British (lady)driver about 4 months ago on my bike,and we managed to sort it out within us in front of the police.It wasn't easy at first but glad we got it sorted.I haven't been paid for the cost of repair or the hospital cost as such yet but t is now reported at the police and if they refuse,I'd be able to go to police to take the matter further.ie.courts.

When i had the accident she hit me head on because she was on the wrong side of the road talking on her phone. by the time the police arrived she had moved her car.My turkish friend was with me and explained what had happened but the police insisted it was my fault. My insurance paid for my damage but i think the fine was unfair. I was threatened with all sorts if i did not agree.
