If what I read in Cyprus Today is true, that a builder who has taken so many people's money and given nothing or very little in return, now plans to launch his own airline - with the same name as the government's one, well...

...I for one will not be buying a ticket.

Working to promote and help his country? Anger overload.

I can assure you that the propety scam report is true. Please check out Mouflon 1, Mouflon 11, Dicovery Bay, Marina Park, Sweetwater and Mayfair Park where has built himself a 4 bedroom house which is supposed to be a boutique hotel, with 7 garages, a gym, sauna and pool with his name on the bottom. Money all paid via Unwins to Alpan Uz personally, even though contracts were with various landowners. The only reason people have a house on Mayfair Park is because his mother owns the land and also has a house there.

Msg 10 - i think if you look down there - mayfair park - he has apparently built a compound of 3 houses and the 'boutique hotel'. The 4 bedroom you mention is a lot bigger than that. Looks like a mini hotel - possible casino ? garages there are the 7 stated. Other sites as mentioned, no idea. If the mother owns the land as stated, does this mean the owners there are safe? i.e. turkish cypriot land!

Sounds to me he just got wind of the proposed new airline and jumped in and registered the name first. Plenty of case law that suggest that sort of tactic won't work.

Yes but he's registered the airline in the Uk as Limited Companies, numbers 07410906 & 07410901

on the 18/10/2010 and he's the only Director. Nice of him to put our monies back in England for us.

ALPAN UZ i HEAR HE IS A VERY NICE MAN. Nothing is too much trouble, he will help you put your furniture out on the street free of charge, ask Mr. & MRs Tapp. Then so your house doesn't remain empty, he will try to instal a Turkish family in for you. I get a lot in return. I have wonderful friends mostly turkish who will do anything they can to help me. I have a nice home wonderful views and most of the time fantastic weather. Where i lived in the uk i was scared to go out alone at night. When my husband died i lost everything and had to start over. Did i get any help NOTHING. If i had been an immigrant they would have thrown money at me.

What has this got to do with good old Alpan Uz. Every time there is a thread on this T B it goes off thread and loses the message that you should not do business with this man. Incidentally, it is alleged that he works hand in glove with the Unwins.
