To all footy fans do you think that my team "Little old Blackpool" have a chance against the might of Manchester Utd. Will the overpaid reds fancy a game of footy in strong cold winds with crisp wrappers and chip wrappers blowing round the donkey field that is the home of Blackpool FC.

If Olly can get a win then this will surely be the shock of the season and he will win manager of the year on the back of a positive result.

What score do you reckon it will be ???????

blackpool fan

as a lifelong united fan i have to say the only team ive enjoyed watching this year has been blackpool

they have passion and hunger ,that appears lacking in far to many premiership stars

its also the worst united team for me for 20years .

yes they have a chance as they have shown allready this year ....on the night though united are hard to beat ,

lets see ......for me i wont predict ,lol

enjoy ,these are the games i hope you see next season

The town is buzzing people offering £100 for a ticket. 2-1 to Blackpool and Charlie Adam to score the winning goal.

Well we can all dream the impossible Good luck to olly and the boys

Can't see us doing it tonight Steve with Crainey out , DJ still under the weather and all the uncertainity surrounding Charlie which has been an unnecessary distraction since the weekend

Still i'll be there giving it loads

Taggart is a wily old fox Still convinced he got the Dec game pulled by persuading the ref to do that impromptu inspection That was the time to have played them

If I was Karl I wouldnt fix those showers too quickly - let the pampered Manure players rough it

If we do pull off a shock win it will truly be the the highlight of what has been a memorable season

yep good old burnley

its more important for me to see blackpool there next year and so on....to many teams come up for first year then financially cripple themselves thinking they can win it in year2 .

I like to watch bpool this year ,and thats why i want them to stay up and avoid burnley type .

wolves and west brom are different ,get them down and dont let them back up

CERTAIN penalty for B'pool disallowed... should be 3-0, now:( Man U seem to be 'lucky' - even when 2-0 down...

For the sake of the league .. and B'Pool - I WANT to see Man U lose.. ! ( sorry, Man U fans)

Well little old Blackpool gave the Mancs a fright a definite penalty could have made it 3-0 We battered united in the 1st half. United fans at the end said we are crazy as we were still attacking when it was 2-2 and it was a joy to watch.

Well done Olly and the boys you fought and scrapped loads of guts and nearly did the impossible

Ian Holloway and Blackpool have brought a very much needed breath of fresh air to the Premier league.Cant see whats wrong with attacking the game when its 2-2.They as well as United wanted the three points.Hard luck Steve, your lads gave it their all,

Well done Man U

Great game last night Giggs was awesome when he came on whilst Berbatov and Herdandez were class Rooney however was shockingly bad - a shadow of the player we have seen in recent seasons

Pity about Walton The worst ref I can recall at Bloomfield He's either overtly biased as many allege or simply unable to detect what is and what isnt a foul - and thats not sour grapes as his decision making was being queried by all around me even when we were two nil up

Hopefully when we meet again our Prem status for 2011/2 will have been secured as I dont fancy going to OT needing a result I am also praying we dont get Walton allocated to officiate

why was it nearly the impossible, utd are there to be taken.its the worst theyve played in years.to many players having off days at the same time.if there were more teams with bottle like blackpool,i dont think utd would be where they are now.holloways the dogs b....... plays football the way it should be played.reminds me a bit of when docherty was at old trafford, the team wasnt great but they attacked teams.great attacking football blackpool best of luck for the rest of the season.gooligan never over till the fat lady sings mate.and we still had 10 minuites fergie time.

Kavenkoy. Funny how pairs of eyes see things differently. Poor, small, Rafael, came at the attacker with no interest in the ball whatsoever, at an angle from behind the attacker and put his shoulder and all of his frame through the side and kidneys of the attacker at exocet pace and speed. The attacker was hit with such speed he was instantly airborne and to me looked so startled he was incapable of feigning anything. Vinny Jones could not have matched that tackle. One will never know what the decision would have been had it happened to a Man U attacker but I bet the majority of the Man U side would have been gang banging the ref for a penalty

Steve mess 41,

How ironic that your last away game of the season should be at "the shrine" can you

remember the last time you played a league game there (no peeking) the score and the

attendance.I was at the game,so i dont need to cheat.God i am getting old,

Kavenkoy. I see the potential of Rafael as much as the Man U supporters and he reminds me of when a younger Ashley Cole, who is now recognised by many as one of the finest defenders in the world, knew no way of defending other than to run at pace right through attackers whether he was first to the ball or not. Cole now shows a more measured approach to defending and gets himself between attacker and goal when the outcome for him is going to be better than a collision. I just feel that Rafael must learn that his speed, bravery, and commitment, in spite of his lack of size, are not in doubt but it would be better for him and Man U if he avoided controversy by sometimes using the skills he is blessed with in a more thoughtful manner. When a wise head joins young shoulders he should become something very special.

Sorry to be late onto this thread and with tongue in cheek:

We know that Ollie would love Fergies job one day and also that Fergie thinks very highly of him.

Is there any truth in the rumour that Fergie invited Ollie in to the MU dressing room to give the half time team talk and Fergie went into to the Pool dressing room cos what happened in the second half would certainly seem to indicate this.

Sorry Steve,

In 1974/75 season when both clubs where in the old second division United played Blackpool

last game of the season.United won 4-1,and won the title that season. The attendance was

58,000.United played the game in a very similar style to the way Blackpool have this season

in the Premiership.Tommy Docherty was the manager, all those years ago,and Sunderland

became runners up.Happy days mate,

Paul.

I wonder what Ollie will do now that Blackpool have been hit with the 25 grand fine ? Resign as threatened ? - I sincerely hope not - he's been like a breath of fresh air in the Premiership as have his team.

Go to the bbc sport web site and watch his comments re the premier league nonsence. He is a man of principle, loves his team and players. Unfortunately for Blackpool, not the greatest earners for the premier league ( as wolves previously) so bound to be picked on by the bullies. No one questions / fines Arsenal etc. in Carling cup for playing youngsters etc. Why pick on the smaller clubs. blackpool have been a breathe of fresh air this season - no holds barred -go for a win all the time.

Holloway is brilliant in his interviews and the way he wants his team to play. A real credit. What could he do if he was the national manager?????

Not a bad bench to have - Rooney, Berbatov, Nani, Giggs.

Its saying something, when the grand old man has to come of the bench twice in a week to win us the game.Dont get me wrong Rowlo,i am United through and through. But Its as plain as Fergies red nose that Uniteds squad is short of class these days.I fail to comprehend how the guy Obertan gets to wear the famous shirt, even against yesterdays lower league opposition.

There are one or two blinkered United fans that post on here, that need to take the patches of their eyes and look at the bigger picture. For over an hour yesterday,United where bloody awful. Why Fergie played without wingers for an hour is beyond me.Then low and behold as soon as he brings two wide men on,bingo two goals.

Fergie needs to realise that his squad is pants,it nearly cost us three points at Blackpool, and we where nearly dumped out of the cup yesterday.Well done Ryan Giggs, wish you where 27 though, not 37,

Paul.

Scoty,

Tricky one, although Rooney was awful at Bloomfield Road the other night. His feeding of Berbatov in recent games has been outstanding.Granted Rooney hasnt been scoring, but he certainly has been making."little pea" is still raw,but very talented. So i would have to go for Rooney,

Paul.

Dont think this will be far off the team that lost to Southampton in the 1976 cup final.
