It can be a pain in the butt but it's often preferable to handle the renting of one's property oneself. Get a lease drawn up by a notar for a reasonable sum (they will have templates in English and Turkish), take a good deposit and photo I/D like passport and driving licence showing UK address. It's a good idea to retain someone trustworthy to keep an eye on the place when you are out of Cyprus.

The last thread got to 200 posts and now it all starts again.

As a result of scams here I have

- no house in the UK

- no house in TRNC

- I am living in rented accommodation (and I pay my rent EVERY MONTH)

- I am living on my OAP pension now

- All I have is a pile of bricks on a hill

I wish I had a house which I could rent out. i would count myself as extremely lucky to have only lost £2000 in doing so. I do anything to make my pension last a bit longer and go a bit further. I have sold my clothes and some of my Grand childrens toys on the market, I have sold items at the auctions too, so that I can stretch my lire a bit further.

What was it ...... A victim, is a victim, is a victim...... mmmm......

I know exactly how you feel, as do many more on the forum! my only saving grace is that I kept my UK home, but have still lost so much, and not just money!



However I do agree with CJtill that any victim of this unscrupulous country, has a right to bring the scams they have encountered to light, so that any future human being will be well informed, so they at least have the chance not to become a victim in the future!

The house I was buying was also fully furnished - so I had to give mine futniture away or leave it in the house when I left, so I don't have any furniture or household goods here either.

Ask the Oram's how they feel about being scammed for £2000

Ask residents in Karsiyaka who are currently in court to try to stop being evicted from their homes which they have alread paid for which are now in the hands of the bank

There are thousands of 'victims' here but they do not drip feed their problems to others every day. As the first message said over 11,000 viewings 200 comments - future human beings have been well informed!!!!

You seem to have a vested interest in doing down other victims of property in this country, at least where North Cyprus Rentals is concerned.

Why don't you go and deal with your problems, which, incidentally, you have documented on this forum vociferously, and leave others to deal with theirs the way they see fit.

A victim suffers at the hands of a criminal be it a murder an assault a rape or an indecent asault a burglary or a theft.



All are varying degrees of crime with a victim suffering but if things are not kept in the public eye for information and to be aware then offenders have won.

Just putting in my tuppence worth here, I am sorry you have been scammed Hildysmith but I am also sorry that these other people have been scammed as well, excuse me for inferring that you seem to come down very heavily on Sabena's side, (sometimes ones friends can also be scammers you know) but she has made promises to people through AJ and others, there have also been some very strange goings on surrounding her absconding and her business dealings, and it does not matter if it is your 100k or their combined possible 250k that has been lost it is still a scam and you are making more enemies than friends with your continual attacks, (reminding me of others)

I really dont see what you have to offer in reply that is pertinent to the thread and the ensuing situation many of us find ourselves in. Perhaps you would be better starting your own thread and related problems and leave us to deal with North Cyprus Rentals.

Our dealings with NCR were authentic and the consequential outcomes from the administration of the company has had a direct impact on us. We are not posting speculative comments.

A victim is a victim regardless of the amount that is lost. A collective supportive campaign is what is needed to bring about change and bring the crooks to book whoever they may be i.e. buiders, agents, government or the banks.

Hans, The"lady" is indeed in the U.K. and some of her victims have reported her activities to various U.K. Police Forces but because there are individual forces there and because the victims are spread throughout the country, a group complaint is not practical. In any event, individual complaints are likely to produce better results in the long run.

Forgot to say to those who are at at loss from Sabena's actions and WHO LODGED MONIES INTO SABENA'S ACCOUNTS IN ENGLAND AND WHOSE FUNDS WERE DIVERTED BY HER FOR HER OWN USE,i.e bills not paid in Cyprus, etc. Please report this to your local constabulary as this will strengthen the case that is building against and lead to her arrest on Embezzlement charges.

In the search box type in- North Cyprus Rentals, or Sabena Coulter and just follow the leads. I should point out that this thread refers only to North Cyprus Rentals ( the specific company) and not rentals in Cyprus generally ! I'm sure that there are reputable rental firms out there.

Sabena has fled the UK for Canada !! She seems to have left over a week ago as the heat was getting too much for her in England !! She is the holder of a Canadian passport as many of you know !!

Just to clarify ! I have no agenda against Sabena's mother. Sabena is the problem for many of us ! Any help in tracing Sabena's assets in Northern Cyprus could be of benefit to her many victims !!
