Can anyone tell me what you need to take with you these days to renew your driving license?Its been a while and I have forgotten.....



Also can you renew them at the new offices behind the Registry Office in Girne? Or do you need to go to Lefkosa?



Any help greatly appreciated.

as from 2011 - 5 year licence cost: apprx. 320TL

- 10 year " " : apprx. 550TL

they do 2 and 3 years renewals too, but 5 years is the best Budget deal. Good Luck.

Did mine last week, needed yellow form completed, difficult as it is in turkish only and supplies of the form are on the wall shelf opposite the tax counter. Two photos of applicant, photostat copy of passport details page and cash which if I recall correctly is 314.50 turkish lira. The office is in Girne, behind the hospital, where you buy your road tax and it is the same counter as the road tax.

▶ What went wrong? I just checked and the download of the file started at once.

JUST CLICK this line on the web page: | Download application form TRNC driving licence |

and the file "Driving_licence.zip" will automatically download to your hard drive.

No problem downloading the file, cheers DC, but can't open it to print.

Wrong "photo viewer" whatever that is.

I've now included in my outgoing "driving license mails" short instructions "How to Unzip".

This may help you:

1 : If you've already downloaded the blank will form, do the following:

2 : To Unzip the file: double click the downloaded file. If this doesn't work on your computer you miss the (free) software to Unzip (extract) the file you downloaded.

3 : You find a choice of this necessary, free software (for PC: easy to install) here: http://www.google.com/search?q=unzip+software+pc&hl=en&num=10&lr=&ft=i&cr=&safe=images

4 : Fill in the password (ask your - free - personal password via email to: hansdoeleman@allcrusades.com ).
