Run in one of Mrs. Boots frocks.

What you wear under it is your choice but it may help disengage from fantasy.................

Put me down for 10tl per km Malcolm (100tl) I'll be in UK when the run is on so will pay up before or after - let me know how to get it to you. Good luck!

ps there's a new shop opened in Alsancak/Lapta (next to Freddie's Bar) have loads of fancy dress - not sure whether it's to hire or buy but someone else I'm sure will know.

Glad another runner in the fun run.

Looseboots Runners completed their first training run and although only 3 of us we are all in the 10k fun run so hopefully between us we will get lots of sponsor money for the charity.

Sorry Susie but think it might be too hot in April for the hot dog fancy dress costume...............

Hi Looseboot runner - I am George and I am one of the organisers of said event. To answer your question we have over 100 entrants for the Fun Run at the moment. We would be able to cater for more. With all this training Looseboot will you make it back in time for the evening entertainment ?

Great effort and thanks for your coverage.

Oooo. I hope so.

We had 8 of us running on our Sunday morning run and all are in the fun run. So hopefully between us all we can get a good amount of sponsorship.

Just hope the weather is kind to us and not too hot.

If we are not able to get sponsor money before the race.........( I know this is the preference ) how would we get monies to you after the event.

If you dont receive any payments owed to you by the Fun Day, when you do receive them you can phone us and we can arrange collection. Much easier if it is collected for the day. Happy running

Again, what time do you envisage being in the bar for drinkies !!!

Ha ha, think one of our group knows the route but will double check. The plan was to get there by 10.00 drive the route so we all know where we are going then go for it. Time wise ......phew that`s a tuffy.

Would imagine we would start running about 10.15.......10.30 then probably an hour and a bit....

So would guess, recovery time would be in region of 12.00 to be on the safe side.

George, I am getting confused over the meeting place tomorrow. For some reason I thought that the Turtle Beach Restaurant was the one at Aligadi..........but it is further down??????

Plus 4 of our runners want tickets to the evening.

Hey Looseboots... I've got myself roped into this and have quickly come to the conclusion that 'fun run' is a bit of an oxymoron!! Anyway - I am just wondering about the route... is it fairly flat or is it very hilly...? I've been trying to vary my training to incorporate a bit of both but am not loving the hills!!!

If someone could give us an idea of the route, I wouldn't mind giving it a go this weekend...

Thanks...

It is not too hilly. basically the route is from The Tutle restaurant at Alkan village.

Turn right at their car park.......and go for about 1/3 kilometre till you reach a blue builders sign .

Then right turn at that sign following the tarmac path all the way to the carrington developement.

Do a loop of this estate and follow the road back.

Phone george Roper to confirm..but it`s a good easy route.

Just remembered the turn off to the right is just past the petrol station on the left.

Think you turn at the Borac sign on the right then simply follow the road all the way to the end keeping staight till you come to the Carrington site.

But yes please double check with George.

Best of luck.
