| I have just come back from paying my Road Tax and I was given an extra letter, all in Turkish, after having it translated its informing us, as of 1st May, they will be adopting Continental driving laws, i.e. driving on the right instead of the left. Comments please. |

| That was approved by parliament two years ago. Yes, it will become effective on 1st May 2011 12 noon. They chose this time because everybody is supposed to be praying in the mosques at this time, so no danger of collisions.

| At first it will only be private cars that will drive on the right. If it is a success, lorries and other commercial vehicles will change over a week later. |

| Ismet which country do you live in? Sionce when have the TCs become religous. The best time to implement it is on Saturday night whilst everyone is in the gambleing houses, now that would be more realistic.
While you are at it, please make sure that the new Banana rules are applied to the bananas sold. They should all be straight, no bent ones allowed, EU Directive effective from 1st of May 2011. |
