Surely has to be one of the smallest plane for leg room , and with no on-board entertainment (not even a radio) on or outward journey

(is this not 2008 rather than 1960).

Meals was was rather bad and basic and the organisation of the cabin crew was diabolical, allowing people to all move seats at the border stop off , then to have to deal with passengers boarding and finding allocated seat tickets had been taken

. In the words of Sid James (what a carry on)!!!!!!!!!

Happy Feet.. From what I have read on these forum pages your complaints seem to be aboutCyprus Turkish Airlines and NOT Turkish Airlines. If I am wrong Ido apologise, but Turkish Airlines have all the normal facilities on board for there passengers...

I've found, that since Turkish Airlines joined the "Star Alliance" their quality of service has made quantum leaps forward. Last 3 or 4 flights to the Island absolutely faultless. More than can be said for CTA. The cabin crew there dissembark in order to smile. Never seen one smile in front of passengers.

I agree, CTA staff were very miserable. Funny thing was we saw some CTA cabin crew at Ercan waiting to get on the plane laughing and joking and... shock horror... smiling. We didn’t think they were physically capable of it!

I have to say that we used CTA last month & the cabin crew were really nice, friendly even willing to chat & the food was pretty good as airline food goes. However the leg room left a lot to be desired. Turkish Airlines who we used in May had great leg room but the food, not good, & that's being kind.

we used cta a couple of weeks ago.

it has gone down hill since i last used them last year.

we were packed on like sardines and on the return journey via gazientepe they didn't have enought seats for the passengers and had to refuses some at gazientepe.

they got on, staff couldn't find them a seat so they got off again.

i have never seen anything like it. they realy are the trnc standing joke!

Having worked serving the often rude and bad mannered general public I can appreciate how it is sometimes difficult to smile.

We were only offered 1 drink each with our meal during the whole flight, how comes they are willing to sell duty free give out a rock hard type cake but didn't ask passengers if they wanted to buy another drink ?

We had a lovely experience with them earlier on this year. We booked our seats online (got the emergency exit - no extra cost) - free drinks. We must have been lucky because all the other passengers were quite charming. OK - there's no entertainment - just stick on your i-pod and listen to Jason Mraz - thats what I do - with a very large gin and tonic!! Pegasus on the other hand is quite revolting - having to pay an extortinate amount of money for snacks (we take our own). God I sound like a female ... what's his name/ - 'I don't believe it'.

I came over with Jet2 from Leeds to Paphos in July.

Cabin crew smiled, but a plastic smile.

Breakfast (Omelette and a sausage) £6.50

Coffee £1.90

25cl non-chilled wine £3.50

No in-flight entertainment

2 hour queue at Leeds for check-in

Next time it will be THY or KTHY, no contest

I forgot

Jet2 charged £10.50 if you had a suitcase

£17.50 for a seat with legroom.

Add it all up and the scheduled flights are cheaper!

I think KTHY come in for a lot of bad press without cause. The food I had was no worse than B.A. or a lot of other airlines. The stewardess moved us to emergency exit seats because we had no air blowers. No entertainment could be improved! I changed my return flight twice on a semi flexible ticket with a cost of just £30 a ticket the second time as it was within 72 hours and the change of class the first time. This was on a ticket price of just £205 originally. Sure they could improve but it is not all bad.

What I don't understand is that some of the jets are equipped with the led screens, they display maps , yet they cant seem to figure out how to put on some entertainment.

I was told that i couldn't even use my Ipod. WHY?

Long live THY

You cannot use ipod or other electrical devices for take off and landing or safety briefing. In the air is fine.

If I had the choice, I would not use them again.

There are better options out there all round and probably cheaper. Turkish Airlines & Pegasus into Ercan and loads of others into Larnaca.

Take your choice.
