15 Lire each to sit on a sun bed (deal or no deal ) ?

Drinks and meals are a tad expensive and we found the service very slow.

Small sandy beach was nice but that's about all..

True 15 lira but you get your first drink free which is around 5 lira depending on what you have.

A lot more expensive than other beaches but VERY clean, in my opinion worth it but if your not used to paying to use a beach it is a bit of a shock.

PS> Anyone know what happened to 5Mile the restaurant attached to Escape? It seemed shut when we went

We were offerd no free drink Wilts Girl and it did not state this on the ticket, the guy at the main gate was asleep when we arrived at 11.30am.

There is a massage tent which you can pay for various treatments and a volley ball net in the sea (but no ball)..

Nice and relaxed beach for familes..

It is a little steep but either you pay it or you go somewhere else. Personally I found it worth the money, all sun loungers, brollies etc are included and those can normally set you back a bit. The huge cushions are comfy as well!

Toilets and changing rooms are impeccable. You wouldn’t go there everyday but its worth it as a treat.

lots of places just as nice with the same facilities for lots less. Beledye beach - turn down the road for the Mecure, park up and walk down. 3ytl for bed, mattress and umbrella + + +

Golden Bay - next to the Denizkizi. All you need there for 5ytl.

Both the above offer everything that the escape beach do for lots less. I suggest you look around. Also have to say that the snorkelling at escape beach is not so good but good at the other places.

I went to escape beach last Saturday with 3 children and couldnt believe it when he asked me for 60 ytl. I told him I wasnt paying it and would try somewhere else. He tried to tell me that all the beaches were the same. I knew different and started to walk away, he called after me and said 2 of the children could go free, so we all got in for 30 ytl and 2 of us got a free drink.

Had a lovely relaxing holiday Bowman, apart from eating out each night and various trips there wasn't much on at all around the harbour, bars seemed very quiet did go to the Ego bar and met some nice people, maybe its better in the summer season.

Try Acapulco - Yes same price, same facilities - sun bed parasol etc...

BUT ++++++ HUGE sandy beach, Water park with slides, restaurants, gardens, there is no comparison !

We tried Escape once, then Acapulco and have never returned to Escape since....

Hi I agree Escape Beach is a total rip off

No need to go there at all

We did not bother with it at all this year, We gave it a shot for a couple of years, but the sunbeds just closer & closer as the price went up and service went down!!

We have been coming to NC for wellover 15yrs to exactly escape the beach experience that ESCAPE BEACH NC has to offer,

Sorry just my opinion

hubby went with a friend during the summer. said it was the dirtiest place. rubbish everywhere.

friends went to acupulco in the summer, had a great time but their kids were shocked to see the turkish mainlanders in the swimming pool fully clothed.

even as muslims they found this behaviour alien and funny. they usually holiday in turkey but hadn't seen this before.

Funny how people can have such differing opinions on places, we found Acapulco overcrowded and dirty!

Its seems the best thing is to give most places a try then make your own mind, a lot depends on what you like and whether you have children etc.

Gin&Tonic I had a look at their website, a bit short on photos or info of the place, looks good.

For a good laugh have a look at their menu still haven't figured out what "SEA SWEAT" is.

Wil have to check it out next year.

They charge 15ytl. This is for your towel, sunbed and umbrella. The first drink is free. Tiny beach but lots of decking. It was spotless when we went. I thought it was much better than Escape but it is not particularly child friendly as most of the swimming is from decks/steps into the sea.

Peaceful and relaxing for those of us without children.

Thanks G&T , I am still stuck on the "Sea Sweat" (on the menu) what is it?

I like the look of the place, they do need a few more pics without the obstructions.

I believe Coronaro is the Malpas Hotel beach. Since you have to drive past Catalkoy Belediye Beach (Korfez) to get to it I don't bother and go to Korfez instead. Last summer 5YTL for a bed with mattress or zero with no mattress.

Hi this beach club is just a few hundred yards from our villa. We went last year for a meal and to the club. It is part of the Malpas but I don't remember the drinks being as hideoulsy priced as the hotel (stayed there on several occasions whilst our villa was being built)

It is a lovely quiet place to chill in the day and hubby and I loved the club and we are well advanced of 30! We are out in a couple of weeks and as its staggering distance of our villa will no doubt visit so I shall report back. Directions out of Kyrenia, east out of Kyrenia toward Catalkoy left turn at happy valley resteraunt (very very reasonable menu!) Keep following the road round bearing left and its signposted, enjoy! If you get to the Bo Thai on the main road youve gone to far.

Charges for access to beaches is usually a con. All but very few like L.A Hotel on the Lapta strip are "private". All others are public and it is illegal for organisations to charge an entry fee. However they can charge for supplying services. Why not try Kavansaray beach which is public but charges tl 3 to cover all sunbeds and other services.

Trudy they normally start charging around the end of May or the start of June. Last year it was 10TL, they had no facilities on the beach, the toilets were filthy, it's a shame because that is our local beach.
