Nobody from the Italian Embassy in Nicosia was available for comment this morning.

BRT added that Erdogan Sanlidag from the Turkish Cypriot tourism office described the protocol as a positive development and said that the tourism sector was pressed into a narrow frame instead of executing it in a wider frame.

Are you sure the flights are direct? If CTA are registered in Turkey then they cannot fly direct without breaking International law. This applies to all countries.

So it is either a direct flight to Turkey and then a direct flight from Turkey to Ercan, or it is a non stop flight to Larnaca.

What it is NOT is a non stop flight from Italy to Ercan.

Carry on as normal.

Wyn

" When has the thoughts of International Law worried The TRNC?" , unfortunately the rest of Europe couldnt care less what the TRNC thinks. Its outside the TRNC that matters to CTA. Its probably the aviation authorities making a slight concession or turning a blind eye, that doesnt also insist on us disembarking in Turkey and continuing on another plane.
