Has anyone used Turkish Airlines? We are flying from Stansted to Ercan and have not used them before

We have always found them competative and reliable..........I can only speak as I find, but up to now, no problems......

I use Turkish to/from Heathrow and have found them excellent. Decent leg room, free food and drinks. Even better, at Heathrow, they don't really care too much about your baggage weight. I came back last time with about 30kgs which they happily accepted with no extra charges. They might be more expensive than supposed cheap charters but at least there are no rafts of extras to pay for. The choice of flights is very restricted anyway if you want to use Heathrow - on my last visit, both BA and Cyprus Airways were much more expensive.

very good but have put up their prices once Kibris went broke .We now fly into the south and pay the £50 taxi fare. Still cheaper

I didn't know Turkish Airlines flew from Stansted to Ercan. Do you need to change aircraft at Istanbul or are you flying with AnadoluJet (which is TA's low cost arm)?

Used Turkish many times MAN-IST-ECN. Excellent.

There are no Turkish direct flights all change in IST. We stay 1 hour inbound and 2 hours outbound.

Stansted direct with Pegasus we found good and on time both ways last month when Turkish had no seats from MAN.

Turkish low cost is Anadolu Jet of whom I have no experience.

Many occasions at peak times such as Easter I have found the total prices into LCA to be dearer than Turkish, at least from MAN with return times sceduled to be daft o'clock in the morning.

1st time very nice plane London - Istanbul, 2nd time a "CTA Special" very cramped and very poor leg room.



Connection to Ercan resulted in an 8 hour delay - planes often delayed at Heathrow departing, so it can be a very long day if the connection time is not long enough (they don't wait)

Turkish airlines excellent use BHX IST ERC

I also used pegasus STN ERC unless really special offer by Pegasus Turkish cheaper

Fiends going BHX for spring bank holiday and its £100 perperson cheaper than monarch with food luggage for free compared with monarch charges

Only hassle once when the computers were down and the transit was a rugby scrum

Also useful for a city break in Istanbul ataturk handier to Istanbul than SBG

On a similar vein,I've had 5 promotional emails from Pegasus in 4 weeks !!



Are they feeling the pinch now ???



These emails were for discounted flights through the high summer season....

Victoria Msg 1 - Just came back Ercan Istanbul Birmingham both out and return journeys faultless.

Food good, alcohol available in the flight price cabin crew friendly & helpful (so far we have always found the same at check in) plus of course better luggage allowances than the competition.



Prices are good even though I'm prejudiced and I prefer to fly into and out of ECN.



We are happy to sell Turkish Airlines to clients alongside Pegasus and do so frequently.

Love them, used them to and from UK and to and from Chicago - excellent, make you feel like you matter, nothing too much trouble.
