I personally think that is expensive as i can only eat 1 serving as can most of the people,there is only a minority who are greedy and can eat a very lot of food.Maybe greedy is not the right word, "Hungry"

As i said above,i think its expensive.A bit from 7 diffrent dishes will taste just like 1 dish,you wont be able to tell what curry is which. Pointless, IMHO

Have to disagree with msg 9 that 7 different dishes will taste just like one. In the UK, better half and I frequently order thalis, which consist of several different dishes, so that we can enjoy the different flavours and textures, rather than just one curry. We tend to order a meat thali and a vegetable one, with a selection of pickles, so there is plenty of choice. I promise you, that you can tell the difference.

I also used to enjoy a Thali back in the UK,but as you say,it was 7 different curries in 7 little stainless steel pots and not all on 1 plate where juices will run into each other,i even could not finish the thali,but yes a very nice way to enjoy diffrent tastes of a curry and all separate.

mess 6 - "eat as much as you like" reminds me how Garry Monger's missus put the local doughnut factory out of business, following one of their "eat as much as you like" weekends.............
