We are told that unless something very unforseen happnes this Friday, the hearing will take place.

K5 are asking the Judge to grant an interim injunction which in itself tells you we still have a long way to go.

The aim of the obtaining the injunction is to stop Akfinans selling the villas whilst we travel this long legal road.

This hearing is however one of the most important because failure to secure this injunction will send a clear message to the other 1400 in the mortgage queue 'there is no help to be had in the TRNC'

Anyone who wishes to support K5 on Friday will be very welcome

Venue: Girne District Court - time 10.30 a.m. - or at least this is the time we have been given - we all know from the last fiasco - they do like wrong footing us.

"Evil flourishes when good men (and women) do nothing". When sacked from his post as Minster of the Interior recently, the Minister was quoted as saying 'I did nothing wrong' correct - he did nothing wrong because he did nothing. He ignored the pleas of countless property scam victims (11 of my letters). Let us hope the new Minister of the Interior can do better, he certainly cannot do worse.

Perhaps he will send his legal representative to the Hearing on Friday as the previous Minister did to one of our Hearings at the HIgh Court, ironically the same lady who was legal adviser at the Property Complaints Office. You Couldn't Make It Up - now could you?

Update on tomorrow:

We the members of Kulaksiz 5 have been asked by our Advocate to be at the court by 8.,30 a.m. I know we have things to go through there so to any supporters, although we need to be there then, I think if you come at your own discretion, it will be fine.

The weather is on our side and there are benches at the front of the court building and a coffee shop in the courtyard at the back. I wll be looking for you. If you made a little badge (of paper) and wrote K5 on it and pinned it to your blouse/shirt I wont be able to miss you, just a suggestion.

THanks for giving up your time to support us., I know you don't have to which makes your support even more 'special'.

Arriving TRNC late today and will definitely be at the court tomorrow at 8.30 or asap. Can anyone please confirm the court is up the road from the car park and near the post office and if not where? Best wishes and See you Friday, John

Yes you have the correct location adjacent to the post office, also where the tapu is if you have used it.

johnerebus it will be nice to see you. Watch this thread, I am off to a meeting with the Advocate in Lefkosa this morning (I know working on a public holliday, he's one of the good guys) but I may be able to be more precise as to when the actual case is likely to start tomorrow. I realise we the petitioners need to be early to get our 'team talk' in, but I will try to minimise the time those of you good enough to come have to be waiting around.

Musim, please do not be the cause of the thread being closed, we need all the publicity we can get.

The meeting in Lefkosa was to sign Powers of Attorney. The advocate is of the opinion that we should be there early but be aware that ours iwll not be only case being heard by our Judge and it still may well be 10.30 a.m. before we go in.

Kulaksiz 5 will be there from 8.30 a.m. so I will leave it to your discretion what time you choose ti come to support us.

Many many thanks Pauline.

God Bless you for caring.

Lets hope there are enough supporters to block the car park, then we shall all get guided to the road which may block the traffic, then the officials may say "whats going on here this morning"

Be careful of what exactly philbailey ? Are those who are going to show support tomorrow plainng a sit demonstartion to block a public road ? Try blocking a public road in the UK, France or any other country and see what happens. Police will be called to remove such protestors, in any country. As far as I am concerned phillbailey this is blantat scaremongering. You may as well warn people in the UK to 'be careful' of even being in the vincinty of a demonstration in the UK and link to the media reports of the news paper seller, not involved in the demonstration and on his way home, who was pushed to the ground by UK police and died. In my view the TRNC is no more defined by this incident than the UK is defined by the images of riot clad police and horse mounted police charging miners during strikes in the 80's.

philbailey you warn those who are going not protest but to show support to the K5 tomorrow and link to a report of TRNC police removing protestors who were blocking a main public road. Your post was blatant scaremongering as far as I am concerned. There is no connection between the two events and absolutely no risk to going along and showing support for the K5 before their court hearing.

TRNCvictim with respect please read what I wrote and try and understand it before jumping in with both feet.

Well folks today is the the day. I do not imagine the whole case will be heard today, but today is significant because the High Court overturned the first negative decision and gave us a chance to be heard properly.

Please, this is not a demonstration so do nothing to provoke the authorities, just be there in goodly numbers.

I am so humbled by the fact that even one of you would take the time to show you care, that several will makes me realise that there are good, kind hearted people out there and I am proud to be amongst such decent fellow human beings. May God protect us and bless you all.

If you start arriving between 9.00 and 10.00 a.m, I think that will be in plenty of time.

If you care, I will see you there/ Pauline xx

TRNCvictim in 32 it seems you are accusing me of scaremongering along with philbailey and cite my message 31. My message 31 was denouncing what I saw as the scaremongering of philbailey, yet you accuse me of doing it along with him. Anyway as you like. If you want to accuse those challening such scaremongering of themselves being guilty of it so be it.

Well, we stood around, finally the K5 people called in much later than stated. Extremely small Court Room, so room for just the K5 people and about 3 Observers. After about three quarters of an hour it was adjourned yet again, as posted earlier, to 2pm on 26th. It needs to have many, many more people there to show support. Please do try and get there next week.

The details given are correct the next hearing (continuation of application for Interim Injunction) is on

THURSDAY 26th May 2011 at 2.00 p.m.

Hopefully because it is in the afternoon and very few cases are heard in the afternoon, it will start on time and last for longer.

I would like to thank all of you who gave up your time to support K5, what we lacked in quantity we more than made up for in quality. You are all wonderful.

I have sent my report on today to the editor at NCFP and hopefully it will appear shortly.
