The simple answer is chaotic, no queue. Whoever shouts most gets it sorted out earlier.

Neil,

You should shout at the office where they deal with these applications. When you complain about the delay, they are likely to tell you that it is due to your lawyer not showing sufficient interest in your application. I know it makes no sense but as lonwith g as we have gullible people who will believe anything, they will keep playing this game.

Once the application is lodged with the office there is nothing that a lawyer can do within his/her duties. It is not the lawyer's duty to pester the office with enquiries, they have better things to do.

Malcolm,

How loud did you have to scream to get your PTP?

You can contact the PTP at the interior ministry yourself on 0392 611 1143/1127 or go and visit the office in Nicosia. It is the same building where you apply for residency permission, but you'll need to get your PTP application number to give them.

i am suprised at you. shout?

please don't shout at the nice lady in the office! its usually the army who they are waiting for. i know that sounds like a fob off, but its the truth.

just be persistant. ours took 18 months.

Cooper, that is not the correct contact for PTP. I emailed that person months ago and they said I need to go to another address department.

I will post this detail if I can find it in my archives.

Paul90,

the email address you give is correct but it's likely that a reply will be sent by Tugce Volkan. That's what happened in our case.

Does anyone have any experience of atitudes of TRNC to a UK Police caution on the Basic disclosure document that needs to be presented in order to get a PTP

Waz,

I think it may depend on the level of offence. For example a caution for drugs possession may be viewed differently from a minor public order issue, although neither were prosecuted.
