Please can someone on the forum give me the exact luggage allowance for Pegasus

Have youi travelled in the last couple of weeks. *****

My friend is flying into Ercan in a few weeks, but her electronic ticket does not state luggage allowance, I looked on their web site for her and they say 25k plus 5k for hand luggage, she has tried ringing them but to no avail, complete waste of time, so I said leave it with me and I will ask my good friends on the forum for help.

Many thanks and hello to everyone

20kg and 8kg hand luggage. I came back with them a couple of weeks ago and they were charging £9 a kilo for any extra and also weighing hand luggage!

She might have bought extra allowance when buying the ticket?

They are hot on only having one piece of hand luggage, we traveled at the end of March.

My husband got challenged about a very small cool bag so it was very quickly put into other bag.

I had probs at manchester. Pegasus do not have a desk at manchester. I had paid for an extra 10 kilo. As it was not on their computer, i had to repay £117.00 at manchester. They also threw 5 kilo of my belongings in the bin, as i was carrying a small handbag and a bag containing a wedding dress, They stated only I was only allowed 1 item as hand luggage. NOT 8 KILO. To add insult to injury - My luggage was left in UK, Took several days to get it back. It arrived soaking wet, suitcase was damaged and many items missing. Pegasus will not reply to my complaint. Solicitor wants £2,500 up front to make compo claim.

Msg 8

Take them to the 'small claims court', pretty easy to do.

We fly with them often, flights and times etc. are good. But there luggage system is a bit dubious.

Last time in March our luggage had come through 3 other airports, (so we knew the weight) Pegasus reckoned it was well over, and we had to pay a further £80.00.

Also the gentleman behind us who also had to pay £48 .00 overweight, knew that his case was not over.

I have emailed them several times, and they do not reply, also e.mailed Servisair at Stanstead and no reply either.

We went via Stansted in April. I used standard digital bathroom scales and got both my cases to 19.9kg. Got to the check in and the check in guy congratulated me on the packing and the scales were reading the same as mine at home. I was ready to take items out as we had room in our hand luggage. If you believe the scales are incorrect try them on another set, it is very unlikely that both sets will be wrong.

Suggest you leave a bit more room for error than 0.1kg when checking at home though.

In April at Stansted they were very helpful. Both cases were 21kg. Weighed hand luggage and said take the laptop out it doesnt count and move 2 kg into your now underweight hand luggage. Couldnt argue with that!

Sos only half message went on.

This is only for claims in UK. Pegasus office is in Istanbul. No UK offices so can not go through UK courts, solicitors here have turned me down as too expensive to pursue. again thanks for info

Hi

re. message 19.

I'm flying with Pagasus this week. Is that right, the laptop doesn't count? Can it come out of hand luggage and be carried in board as a second piece of land luggage? Mine is very heavy so it would make a difference.....

Advice, please

Many thanks

Yes Jo you are allowed to carry on a laptop in addition to your hand luggage, taken from their website -

This is baggage taken onto the plane by the passenger. Each passenger is permitted one item of carry-on baggage measuring 20 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm, and weighing a maximum of 8 kg.

The following are allowed to be carried on board without subjected to extra cost.

If there is no room in the cabin for these items, then they will be stowed in the hold and carried as checked baggage.

One hand bag suitable for traveling,

One overcoat, shawl, scarf or blanket,

One bag of duty-free shopping,

One umbrella (except those with pointed ends) or walking stick,

One baby carrycot or pushchair (can be placed in cargo),

One small camera or telescope,

Books and magazines to be read during the flight,

Collapsible wheelchair or pair of crutches (to be placed in cargo)

Baby food and carrycot to be used during the flight

One laptop computer

Does anyone know if my son's booster seat is exempt from our luggage allowance? I can't seem to see anything on the website. Thanks in advance.
