Hi there

Moving to the Lapta area on 23rd August. Am interested to know whether there are any other Everton fans in the locality and in addition a good place to watch the footie . Would be good to hook up to see us make our normal superb start to the season. Remember, it`s a grand old team to play for...

Cheers

Pete

Not an Everton supporter but have just had a tenner each way on them for the Premiership. I know its wasted money but at 300\1, and with probably the best manager around, you never know.

As for bars showing the matches, that will be unlikely as you always seem to get the same old teams....your only hope is when playing one of them.

Hi welcome, Unfortunatly for me my hubby is an Everton fan (i'm Man City!). Ravine is not bad for watching footie but really it's whoever is showing the match you want to see.

he will probably see you around as there are not many of you! lol Best of luck for next season. (but you still wont get higher than City!)

Hi again

Thanks for the info re locations, types of games on etc-all useful stuff. Will be out and about watching some games fom late August/early September so will post again nearer the time. If we can avoid our traditional dismal first 10 games or so (and 15 draws last season-highest in prem) then we should be pushing at 5th or higher hopefully. Then again if Baines, Arteta, Fellaini all get vultured by other clubs...had better stop now before I worry myself too much.

Hi Pete, check thread below and you will be able to check out a few Blues.

Or just type in Everton on search above and it will bring up a few threads re the same.

Mikelapta (Mike who lives in Lapta) should prove to be a neighbour of yours Mike is a staunch blue.

Go back to the late sixties and seventies to a lad who I played with as a youngster who was a great servant to our club in the old fashioned time honoured way, played with his heart and soul for the club, started at centre-half finished as centre forward... shares the same name as Mikelapta... need any more clues?

Was chatting with my neighbour yesterday.. Duncan McKenzie... another ex-blue who was on his way to meet up with a few old boys for dinner... few memories there I think?

Keep the faith... regards Josepk... COYB's

There must be some Everton fans somewhere...there's always the poor and downtrodden wherever you go!

I feel sure if there was enough regular Everton fans who wanted to see all their games throughout the season, I know at least one sports bar in the TRNC would welcome them, and as they can screen up to 4 matches at one time this should\could become a regular haunt....the only trouble the bar is in Catalkoy.

If you can get at least 10 regulars (customers) then let us know on this thread and I can try and set it up.

Hi Mike

Am currently living on the Isle of Wight but was a season ticket holder in the Park End before moving down here. Still get to quite a few games in London whenever I can. We will be in a villa in Lapta on the Lapta View development from late August-really looking forward to it . Will contact you again around that time if that`s alright.
