yes i have been to kyernia before, and it seems to be the only place in the world with no stats on the net.

what i was thinking is if you live in one of these areas just guestimate the amont of people living there and what % are ex pats, and say how many bar/restaurant/shop's there are.

thankyou

You can probably get a better esitmate as to the relative sizes of these places and to a degree how many bars and restaurants there are using google maps or google earth sat views of each place than asking here for subjective guesses from people.

do you know why there are no stats on the net ? are you sure that at 34 this is the place for you ? you ask a lot of ??????????????? , most people your age will be locals , do you speak turkish ? what will you do all day ? theres plenty of bars / shops & restaurants in the areas you mention and lots of ex pats , but most are of retirement age , do you play golf ?

Yes of course i do,actually 33 and to be honest i'm not 100% sure it's for me i have lived in the south which i loved, and that also is mainly retired ex pats so i cant see the diifference there, and you soon meet the people who are in your age group, and anyway im happy to have friends of any age,and im sure there are many workers from other nationalities who i could become friends with,i have already met a good guy on here in his 40's and a guy the same age as me has said he will meet up for a beer,so it already proves the people are there.Yes i ask a lot of questions and from those questions i have learnt a lot already, people who do the due diligence avoid making mistakes.

No i dont speak turkish but as you have pointed out what will i do well i have not worked that out yet but after ten years of hard work and no play, ill be happy to chill out for the first six months when i decide if the place is for me or not,if i get bored i will go to the gym evreryday i like to swim ill eat out

every day and if im sure i want to commit myself after six months i could learn the language, and yes although i dont play golf often i would definitly take it up,when i was in the south i did nothing for a year just lay by the pool explored the district in my jeep tried to find somewhere new for lunch everyday,a few beers every other night, time down the beach.

And another thing i would love to build my owm villa, and maybe set up some kind of business, this is on either side of the island,if it does not work in the north i just go south, but right now im just trying to learn what i can,i dont think its a hard question for instance someone might say i live in ozankoy it has rougly a 500 people about 50 ex pats,we have two nice pubs one nice restaurant and a small shop,i would say its sligtly smaller than catalkoy,or something like that.

Maybe things are about to change maybe more younger europeans will be coming to north cyprus over the next decade,at the end of the day i love cyprus
