Thank you MaggieAndBernie & Rowan. Much appreciated. As the hours go by our hope of finding her diminishes, but I'll hang some posters in our area anyway. A sad day.

Good Luck Dutch. Is it worth a try to take your rotty out on a lead for a walk & sniff around the area? They must miss each other and may try to find each other.

There seems to be alot of dogs reported as missing , these are dogs are much loved pets that come from loving homes , they have got nothing to stay away from , do you think maybe they are being stolen ?

@ msg 22, Simbas: Pat, we have no reason to believe it was a dog theft in our case. She must have jumped over the balustrade of the terrace (back of our house), although we thought we had taken every possible precaution to avoid that.

She was later spotted by a neighbour at the gate at the front of the house, but unfortunately we (who were at a BBQ) had locked the gate so the neighbour couldn't take her in - and off she went again. And off she still is.

Sorry about your dog, why not bring a couple of photos to the KAR charity shop and we will display them for you. I know we are in central Girne but we get customers from all areas and someone may have seen her.

Good luck

I know it will annoy some C44 members to be confronted with this thread on top of the list all day long - to them I apologise. But there is little more I can do on this sad Sunday.

I'm sure no one will be annoyed - Dixie is a part of your family and she is missing - of course this should be kept at the top.

Hope she shows up soon!
