It's a long, complicated story.., but I'll keep it short. Our dog "Dixie" is sleeping at home again - and we're all happy again. My wife Trix, I and Dixie's friend "Spot".

Some details. Thanks to all my British friends who all played a part in saving our dog (you know who you are - Allan, Elle, Jeb, Pat and even more people!). Allan for calling us with the good news, Jeb for saving "Dixie" (when she was frightened by other dogs and swimming on her way to Turkey - no kidding!) and this fine family who gave a dog in distress shelter and food. We are very grateful, yes, we really are.

And last but not least: C44 because our problem was read on this board and it made the chain click.

Thank you all for your support. Very much appreciated. - Hans Doeleman.

Good news Hans. Get her her own carpet now and she will stop barking at you to move it into the sun. Could not be more pleased for you.

So pleased to hear that Dixie is now home safe and sound.

What a relief for you, Trix and of course Spot.

Well done to all who helped reunite Dixie with his family.

SOOOOOOO pleased to read Dixie is home again, with her tail between her legs? or a big grin at all the fuss she caused.........

I reckon Spot nicked the pizza cos her/his? five minutes of being in sole charge of the humans now has to be shared again with Dixie....so s/he had a quick case of the sulks - but glad for you all the status quo is once more achieved...........

Its only when you loose a dog that it you just wish you had kept its collar on with name and tel number...

When we lost our collie she too didn't have her collar on because she was working, she does now though, even if she does get hot...

I didn't post in the original thread but I did read it and could tell that you were sad and troubled at losing your hound.

I am 'so' pleased that, following her little adventure, she is back 'safe and sound'

I am over the moon for you and her!!

I hope and pray that all others who have their animals missing experience the return of theirs.

I really believe that they are precious souls who were sent here for people to care for and when any go missing it breaks my heart.

For once we have success

Maybe that one adventure will be enough for her. I'm so glad she is safe and home with your family. A lovely ending.

Update "Dixie": She's still sleeping..!

P.S. In this thread ▶ [ http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/67642.asp ] [ msg 8 ] I've uploaded a picture of something that may give your dog (cat) a better chance to be returned if the animal gets lost. Only 1 TL! Have a look there.
