For your information, yes of course, with the right software and a high powered ASDL Internet 4 M/byte unlimited connection, you can download yourself, after all, that's the easy part.

Series in particular take days, sometime weeks, power cuts permitting. Then once achieved, using very expensive software, it takes an hour plus to make just one high quality DVD, plus disc and sleeve printing.

So if you haven’t anything intelligent to say, except for posting stupid comments, have a go at the animal lovers.

It’s a great pity you have nothing better to do with your time.

You can download on any speed connection - it is only a factor of time and it doesn't need attendance. The software (Utorrent, Vuze et. al.) is free to download and will restart if interrupted by a power cut or if you choose to stop or pause it for any reason.

Start DVD creation and 1 hour later come back and remove the DVD - that is 3 or 4 minutes work.

Downloading or buying from you is a matter of personal preference - but if you are going to knock downloading then please use sensible arguments.

Personally I think NN's comments are perfectly reasonable and you owe him an apology.

I had not come across "extratorrent" before - very useful.

Previously I have used:-

http://www.bittorrent.am/

http://isohunt.com/

http://thepiratebay.org/

http://www.torrentportal.com/

The choice from all these is huge. Find anything you want - not just what rude DVD suppliers offer.

Just one note on using torrents to download copyrighted material without the copyrigh owners permission that people should be aware off. The very nature of the torrent system (peer to peer) means that anyone can see who (in terms of an IP address) is both offering material and who is downloading material, and copyright holders do monitor such information and have in various countries used it to require ISPs to give details of the actual user account attached to that IP address at the time and to then take out prosecutions against indivduals. Of course such has never happened in the TRNC and is unlikely to happen any time soon, and even in jurisdictions where such has been taken to courts, its a minisucle fraction of the total numbers doing this that have been subject to such legal action, but for those using torrents in places like UK, USA, EU and elsewhere they should be aware of this possible risk in doing so.

This thread is great,if there is some fool/MUG/crazy person who wishes to give you a free VPN address then its great, downloading can be fun if some Fool gives a free VPN then its happy days to every one even the Pedos who can download whatever movies, picture shots, and the likes, from there IP address and mask it all from the FREEE vpn and do as they wish,Sounds great for some of this world, but if you are also useing the same FREE VPN then you will become a suspect if some one decides to get down and dirty.

£5 a month is in my honest opinion a better option, but then again £5 a month to some of us is a great deal!!

Ive wrote this as i would hate to be singled out at one of the guilty ones !

Sorry to startle some,it was just on my mind.

Just not correct 0maintenace as well as grossly misleading. Exactly the same could be said of any cafe/ bar / hotel that offers free wifi net access and does not require personal log ons. Are you saying you would not use a non charging wifi service because you are scared that someone doing something dodgy might be blamed on you ? It is no different to a free VPN service in that regard. When you sit in costa coffee in the UK the person next to you with their laptop could be doing all sorts of things. That does not make you liable if you are sitting next to them not doing dodgy things. It makes costa coffe liable but not you.

Yet again just an excuse to spread FUD as far as I am concerned as part of an ongoing campaign of such. Just my opinion but I think it is a well informed one.

Yep.

Im saying i would not take nothing for nowt in TRNC, who knows what can come back on you.

£5 per month is nothing to pay for a VPN,IMHO.

I have no campaign or vouchers or nowt for free, nothing here for 2 in a bed!

you pay for what you get.

Nowt for nowt,in my honest experience,no prick gives nowt for nowt who ever the fool is.

Ive never had nothing for nothing in my whole life, ive paid for all,no prick has ever stocked my cupboards for nothing and i think will ever.

good luck to every one who gets something for nowt !

0maintenace is funny then that you never had a need to express this 'concern' in threads discussing free wifi access in the TRNC ? It seems to have become an (non)issue for you in regard to just a specific service from a specific indivdual. A cynic might think you are purposely exaggerating the actual risk to an indivdual user for some ulterior motive, rahter than expressing a sincere, all be it misinformed, concern.

I mention no names or IP addresses or VPN.

All i say is i would take nothing for nowt of any prick in TRNC, is that wrong,no it is not.

Please leave me alone, get out of my loft, stop stalking me where ever i post.

I said i wont post in any of ur posts, why do you chase me around the forum.

0maintenace if you post FUD as part of an ongoing campaign against an individual, then I will comment, because I care about truth. I understand you do not like this, but I will not stop doing it. You and washerman started this whole campaign of misinformation, confusion and fear about MM VPN. I pointed out all the inaccuracies and inconsistencies at that time because I care about truth and for my trouble you have since labled me a stalker, based on a lie that you did not know after failing to meet you the first time I was intending to try again, washerman has claimed an honest opinion I gave on a TV retailer was motivated by some kind of 'vested interest'. You (the two of you) started all this BS, like anyone using MM's VPN could ve blamed for what other did with it (not true), that because the domain contact details were in the RoC it meant traffic routed via the RoC (not true), and a host of other absurd insinuations. You now continue to try and throw the same mud [cont]

clearly you would like to able to do so without challenge, but just as you are free to sling the mud so to I am free to point it out for what it is. No amount of 'attacks' on me as person by you or washerman, calling me a stalker, claiming my personal honest opinions are 'biased' and the like will stop me caring about truth. The whole premise for your 'techniques' is that thrown enough mud often enough it stick and that the average reader of cyprus44 is too stupid or indifferent to notice or care. I have a fundamentaly different world view to that. Mud sticks to those who throw it, people are not stupid or indifferent - that is my world view.

Re msg22 and this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv_VZ5zUo2I

As ever 0maintenace the patter is as clear as it is old. Having thrown your mud, you will not deal with challenges to it, but offer distraction and diversion to such.

In any case I wish I was as young and as hip and as good looking as the erolz featured in the youtube video link you give, but the unfortunate truth is that this is another 'erolz' and not, sadly myself. Just for interest if you goolge erolz or erol ziya with any term realting to clubbing and realted topics you will find this younger, hipper, cooler and better looking erol ziya than myself. If you do the same with terms like 'telecoms', 'oftel', 'broadband stakeholders group' or 'unmetered' you will find links to myself. Just so you know.

BSkyB leads slide after US jobs disappointment

Market Movers

techMARK 1,969.98 -0.63%

FTSE 100 5,990.58 -1.06%

FTSE 250 12,074.26 -0.77%

Stocks finished firmly in the red after disappointing jobs data from the US, with satellite broadcaster BSkyB leading the slide as the fallout from the News of the World phone hacking scandal continues.

Newspaper group News Corporation, which hopes to take over the 60% of BSkyB it doesn’t already own, last night dramatically announced that it would be closing down the News of the World after widespread phone-hacking allegations. Meanwhile, the former editor of the newspaper, Andy Coulson, has been arrested. The drama makes it less likely that News Corp will be allowed to swallow up all of BSkyB.

Panmure Gordon said the probability of the News International takeover of BSkyB going ahead has fallen below 50% from about 90%.

Meanwhile, Trinity Mirror, publisher of the Mirror and Sunday Mirror (and the Sunday Mail in S

Meanwhile, Trinity Mirror, publisher of the Mirror and Sunday Mirror (and the Sunday Mail in Scotland) and a likely beneficiary of NOTW’s demise, saw its shares jump more than 10%.

"The opportunity for TNI (Trinity Mirror) here is much improved market share of circulation and advertising," said broker Panmure Gordon.

"In terms of demographic, the Mirror titles are arguably closest to the NoW, and there is conceivably 2.6m circulation up for grabs."

Miners, dependent on a strong global economy to sustain metals demand, suffered after the poor US jobs data. Copper producers Vedanta and Antofagasta were nursing particularly large losses.

Both Hammerson and British Land have announced deals. Property company British Land is to buy a portfolio of 17 freehold and leasehold racket clubs from French bank Societe Generale for £179m. The clubs will be let on new 25-year leases to Virgin Active pending Virgin's acquisition of the Esporta business. Shares fell into the red.

Meanwhile, real estate investment trust Hammerson edged higher after acquiring a 999-year leasehold interest in 99 Bishopsgate, in the heart of London's financial district, for £100m, including costs.

House builder Bovis was also higher on the FTSE 250 after completing marginally fewer sales in the first half of this year than last, although the average sales price increased by around 3%. Completions eased to 801 from 803 in the first half of last year, but net private reservations in the first half of the year rose 16% to 802 from 691 the year before.

UK price comparison site Moneysupermarket.com saw shares riser after saying that it expects revenues to be around 23% ahead of last year when it reports its first half results next month. "Trading in the second quarter has been strong and consistent with the trends seen in the first quarter," the statement said.

Shares in storage barn operator Big Yellow rose by 1% after it saw 'occupancy growth' up from 143,000 square feet in the second quarter of 2010 to 162,000 square feet between April and June this year.

European Market Reports

US jobs disappointment hurts bourses

European stocks finished in the red following a lower than expected rise in jobs in the US in June.

The French CAC 40 closed down 66 at 3,913, the German DAX closed 68 lower at 7,402 and the Spanish IBEX finished 258 lower at 9,938.

In company news, French luxury group PPR reportedly invited several banks to a presentation last Tuesday of the activities of its subsidiary, Redcats, the fashion firm.

Redcats is not yet officially up for sale, but PPR is widely thought to be keen to raise about €2bn from the sale of the firm which owns the La Redoute, Stella McCartney Kids, Vertbaudet and OneStopPlus labels. Reports suggest the sale will be formally announced in September.

German utility RWE fell after reports appeared in the German edition of the Financial Times suggesting the group's supervisory board is contemplating a share sale.

Italian bond yields rose to a nine-year high, prompting nervous selling

Worries over European banking stress tests are also sapping enthusiasm for Spanish lenders such as Banco Santander and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya

0maintenance msg 37 it is generally considered bad netiquette to disclose the contents of a private email recieved in a public place, which is not the same as disclosing and email you wrote yourself, but it comes as not surprise to me that you have no regard for such net based social conventions. I sent the first mail speculatively and only sent futher when asked to do so and as soon as I was not asked to do so I stoped.

Msg38 - is that 'blackmail' ? Let David post again or you will continue to destroy threads when you dont like the way they go ? I do not know but it could certainly be seen as such I suggest.

Erolz.

Im going to bed.

I suggest you do the same, unless its a litre and a half bottle of vodka you bought last night.

go to bed and get up early and get down to the beach, get some rays on your sweed, you really will feel good after it

I do not blackmail any one,it is pointless, truth always prevails.

No such thing as private emails, david shares all his emails with me,and to be honest the clap trap you sent to him snooping about his business and product before hcloman and poolponce joined was laughable, anyway,we enjoy your games.

Good nite and god bless .

As I say 0maintenace the same old pattern is clear as ever to me. Avoid the issues raised in posts, divert, distract, distort and insinuate about an indivdual posters character and do not address the post, just attack the poster. Its a standard pattern clear to me and I suspect many others too. I play no games and I have no connection with the posters you mention. I do care about the forum and about honesty and about truth and I firmly believe that the average reader of forums like this can see distateful behaviour at least as clearly as I can.

for info you could fit about 8 weeks of eastenders on a DVD at reasonable quality. This is based on around 1.5gb for 2 hour weekly omnibus and a dual layer dvd disk with capacity of 9GB. The 1.5GB size matches approx the size if you downloaded the weekly omnibus via bbc iplayer service. However such content would not play directly on a standard DVD player, but would need to be played on a PC or a DVD player with support for 'extra' formats like divx. In a format that would play on any standard DVD player you would get considerably less 'time' per disk.

Download WinAVI Video Converter 9.0, and convert all the AVI episodes onto one 4.7 gig DVD, it should take up to 6 or 8 episodes, with good quality and sound, and can be watched on any DVD player, no need for a dual layer dvd.
