Fancy a night out with a difference?

If you do why not join us at the "The Esentepe Villa Hotel" on Friday 15th July.

The very popular Jeff Phillips as Neil Diamond will supply the entertainment and a restricted a'la carte menu will be available from 7.30pm.

So where's the difference?

That well known local person and hotel manager Mus will publicly have his hair cut to raise money for "The Kemal Saracoglu Foudation" to help children with leukemia cancer.Mus has not had his hair cut for 20 months and is begining to look like a "Shetland Poney" but not for long!Money will be raised in the form of sponsorship and the sponsor with the highest amount gets to make the first cut-lets hope its not the local butcher!-A raffle will be held with all proceeds going to the charity.i

So why not join us for a fantastic evening of Fun and Entertainment.

Table reservations are strongly advised as seating capacity will be restricted to aprox 80 people.

Hey Art, can we help out on this fantastic cause ? I've spoken to the boys and we'd like to come along and support Jeff, we'd like to come along and help and warm up the audience.

Not with the big stage, but up, close and personal - intimate (know what I mean ?)

Can you afford to miss this event which includes great food-fantastic entertainment-excellent raffle prizes and of course Dans classic guitar solo -all in aid of charity for these lovely kids.

Its going to be a night to remember so please come and support Mus.

PS...Sue has taken away Mus's passport to prevent him from leaving the island.

What a great night of entertainment ! Jeff Phillips did a fantastic job with his tribute to Neil Diamond. What a voice !! He may still be singing as i type !! A full house in the " Villa" were also treated to " Mus" having his locks cut off , for charity !!! For me the highlight of the evening was Pearl ! The solo by Danny playing Pink Floyds " Brick in the wall " was awesome !! A full twenty minutes of it !! I think Dave Gilmour would have given that performance the thumbs up !!

I would like to say thank you to Mary and Art who, with just a week's notice, organised a brilliant event for charity. They worked so hard on the night and their enthusiasm for the event spread quickly amongst the audience.

Paul and Marilyn did a fantastic job of selling raffle tickets, their efforts contributed greatly to the final total raised. Many others helped and deserve a mention, including the owners and staff of the Esentepe Villa Hotel.

It was well-organised and well attended (packed) - the theme of the fund raising activities captured the imagination of the atendees, who gave 'so' generously to a very worthy cause - children suffering with Cancer and Leukemia

Thank you to "arry" for highlighting Dan's solo which raised about £150 believe.

"Neil Diamond" was ab fab and if you get the chance to go and see him whilst he is here in North Cyprus - GO !

For me, the highlight of the evening was seeing so many Brit's enjoying themselves and standing shoulder to shoulder

whilst putting their hands in their pockets and pulling up over a £1,000 for a very deserving cause.

AND, having a fantastic night out into the bargain.

I hope I haven't forgotten anyone - Hat's off to "Mus" who had his (very long) hair chopped off to raise money. His face (when he saw Art pull out the garden shears) was a picture, I hope someone got a photograph.

It made a change for the members of Pearl who were able to sit back and enjoy the event - enjoy a beer or, two and listen to someone else stretch their vocal chords for a change.

Just brilliant ! Watch out for the next great fund-raising event !

Arry, Teatime (thanks for your praise) - glad you have asked, we are planning three *MASSIVE* events - the first one is a week next Wednesday and will be something that has never (ever) been tried or, seen before on the North Cyprus entertainment scene - several charities will benefit and like last night, it will be a night to remember.

Please take the time to visit http://www.liverockclassics.com - complete the form and send us your email and we will put you on our mailing list (anyone that is interested can do this)

Final arrangements are being made and everything will be announced soon !

Thanks to everyone who attended last night !
