The site is in it's infancy. To advertise for the first three months free visit http://www.meteor.org.uk

We have revamped the venue page so each adveriter gets the same size advert and you can now use the drop down list to see your particular venue.

The site at the moment is to show what it will be like (will update look as site grows).

Please comment if you would like to see different navigation etc.

Adverisers please use the submit ad button.

This beta site is being updated daily. To advertise fill in on line form at http://www.meteor.org.uk

We need more advertisers and feedback from the community

Esentepe area only.

Our aim is to promote Esentepe and the surrounding area.

Come on members what's wrong. All I am asking is some feed back - all I am trying to do is promete Esentepe area so everyone can see what's going on.

Redwine I have not commented because I am rarely in the esentepe area. If you want comments on the site itself regardless I would be happy to give them but you might find them quite harsh. Maybe its best I do so via email, which I am happy to do. Anyway just ask if you want comments either by mail or here, just understand you might not like them.

Redwine, it's a great idea but it coincides with the recent production of What's on in Kyrenia which is free to punters but not for advertisers I suspect. To be honest, this booklet carries most of what is on in the Esentepe area and is very useful but if you think there is a need for another then....fill your boots.

Redwine firstly its not clear to me what aspects of the site you do want feedback on and which you do not, so offering feedback might be seen as 'harsh' in that way simply because I might comment on something that you have no interest in hearing about. Secondly in the most general terms I think there are problems with the site as it exists at the moment accross a range of things, from asthetics to implementation, when compared with say the other site you posted here (the naive artist ones).

Msg 12 The site is still in its infancy. I am lloking at simple navigation so that a viewer can click on a Bar/restaurant and see whats going on there at a glance without ploughing thro evyone's. Things on the site will change as I see where the problems are (as there is a problem with the calendar at a glance page, which I am working on now)

As a "punter" you will be using the site so comments harsh or not are welcome

Thanks

Well on athestics, though personal tastes differ I find the color scheme of the site offputting on the front page. Yellow text on black background is hard on the eyes, for me at least. I also find the spinning globe offputting especialy at the speed it is at. I also have no idea what the 'counter' in the bottom right is for or means.

On the what on page, the 'advertise here' message dominates the 'select venue to see whats on' message. I think the first thing that strikes a user of the page should be how to find out whats on at a given venue. I am not sure why the 'ESENTEPE APRICOT FESTIVAL 2011 HIGHLIGHTS' video is on this page either. Its not something that going to be on but something that has hppened already and maybe should be on a page of its own. As it is is dominates half the page. If you select a venue then click on the advert you get a blankish page and back resets the what on page.

Overall the site lacks a clarity and consistentcy in layout, colors, use of fonts and navigation compared with say your nieve painters site, which is cleaner cleare and more cosistent naviation wise for me.

Having said all that I think the site is a great idea and I am sure will develop and progress over time and I wish all the best with your effort.

I have not commented on your calander function as you said you still working on it.

Thanks for constructive comments erolz. I will tackle your comments and agree the look does need changing. The adverts also will aso change as they were done in a bit of a hurry and they will have there own unique design as and when they supplu pictures etc.

Thanks again and watch this space it will change
